A friend of mine quite interested in bikes and a very good biker happened to get involved in a road accident which, I think, will be a part of his evil memories forever. It was a normal evening when he,I do not know why, crashed into a lady having an evening walk. Unfortunately, she died on the spot. It was just a result of mishappenings. I and many other know how good a biker he is. But that day proved to be too bad for him. Some other day, we might only expect a few cuts here and there in a mere bike accident, but many say destiny is pre-decided. I want you people to let me know, should he be given a tag of murderer? What do you think will be the right punishment to a someone whose luck slapped him so hard?

I think "murderer" is such a strong word to be used against your friend. He didn't plan it, he have no knowledge of the poor lady until the accident. It's just a bad case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time for both of them. Some would say why on earth is he doing riding a bike in the evening? While others will counter, what the heck is that lady doing: walking around at night by herself? Accidents do happen and sh*t happens even to the undeserving, thats just how life tends to be to us: a total b*tch. Im sure nobody from both sides would ever want that thing to happen. There are applicable laws for your friend, and I don't think its fair that he will be stigmatized as a murderer. The sympathy is always on the part who suffered a graver loss, but there's always other sides to the story. There's nothing that anyone could do that will bring the poor day back; your friend will suffer the consequences of the accident and I think that is punishment enough.

Yes, he is a very nice guy. He was in the state of shock for a day or two and then started crying when he realised what happened. There were many who blame him for rash driving whereas is wasn't the result of same. They highly protested his family and I saw some serious discrimination against him. Even his family was at times humiliated. I feel sorry for him.

I really appreciate your kind words for him. He will be very happy to know that many people in this globe, like you, are in his support. As much as I know all the charges against him are clear, thanks to victim's family. They showed so much of humanity. But what I was worried was for his mental state. He had a very deep psychological effect on himself. It is good to see that he is recovering from that too as the time is passing. THANK YOU.

Just be strong for him. And I also hope they will not take this against you when you're just being a good friend to him. They wouldn't think you're "guilty by association" now, would they? :( Just pray, pray with him if you can. This too shall pass but for now I'm sure he needs all the support that he can get.

I would not tag him as a murderer because he did not mean to do it on purpose. I'm not sure if there should be a punishment, honestly. Just having the memory of it, is punishment enough, I think.

I agree with you to some extent. The victim's family were humble enough, they did not file a case against him. Adding to his woes was the fact that, the victim resided very near to his home, so more often than not he had to encounter their face. The lady had to small kids. It was painful to watch them cry.

That is so sad. I would hate to be in that situation.

I think if your friend just hit that lady by accident,he should not be given a tag of murderer. And I just feel curious how can a bike hit a human to die?Cause bike do not have such a power,so I think that lady may be is very sick and your friend hit her will add her disease.
