I do housekeeping at a Hospice and we have 2 different locations in Town. All the big bosses and directors are all at the main Hospice and I work at the new location that we just moved to,My boss calls me a couple times a day (sometimes 6 or 7) to make sure everything is OK or to check if I need anything. Yesterday one of the nurses asked me "You sure get a lot of phone calls every day, who calls you all the time"? He is such a nosy asssss. I wanted to tell him none of his business but I told him MY BOSS is calling me. Don't you hate it when people from other departments try to get into your space

Hi missy~ That is very annoying, but there always seems to be "one of those" in every place! I would have been really p!ssed off if someone was being nosy like that too, especially since it isn't someone that you have to answer to. I would try to think of a way to get back at that person~I love revenge!

You can always hope it catches up to him. He maybe wanted to find you doing something good so that he could justify what he was doing. I would continue with what you do and how you do it. He can stay out of your business.

Me too, and I always watch him looking at stuff on the computer and watching videos of his grandson instead of doing his work. Some people just get away with stuff that others don't

I like my space..that's for sure. I also have trouble with someone being too nosy no matter what department they work in. If they are not signing my check or evaluating my performance, I am not usually very open with things I think are my business..lol.

Good for you, since my bosses are at the other facility I only have to answer to the charge nurse that's if they need me to do anything.

Thanks for the best response! It's nice to have a little space. I have worked in places where they felt like they had to micromanage everything. That is a miserable existence for me. I like feedback but I like to be able to do my job too.

hi dear missybear I sooo feel with you. Nosy people at work is something no one enjoys. At my work place the situation is a bit different. My pet peeve is that some people in other departments who are working with us try to put unnecessary pressure on us, demanding their cases should be worked on harder or quicker. I am no robot and wont let them dictate my work day.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, some times we are in need to face this kind of problems, simply some of our colleagues will take the power and dominate us, we must be polite to avoid unwanted issues. Good to know you faced this situation without any issue.

Probably just insecure, this person shows signs of being envious for the numerous calls you get too. =) ha ha just do not mind this person. you know you already have a good boss checking on you from time to time, and a good job yourself.. who needs to be stressed out with this kind of person anyway, right? =)

Right, and when I told my boss about it today she said "That's not his business". Hehe, just what I wanted to say
