What are the things that makes a person happy?

Good things come to those who wait. Better things come to those who try. Best Things come to those who believe. But desired things come to those who pray. How about you?

That is well said I must say. All I know is we should wait for the right moment, try until our success, believe in ourselves, and keep praying for goodness of all. Being successful requires a lots of thing and pointing out a single thing would be unfair. It is just that one may lack something while other may lack some other thing. A right texture and combination is needed.

I'm guessing for the most of us would probably be the American dream.. Living in a house with a significant other of the opposite gender, either adopting or having two kids, maybe a dog / cat in a two-story house. Personally, I think I'd like to sit on a comfy chair and eat a meatball sandwich in peace would make me happy. It's the little things that matter. :)
