because i am not. lol i feel like so anti social right now but well in some ways i am not just up for it. see, everyone, well almost everyone is going to this party later, our vice president's son will be baptized and a party will be held later at a hotel and well there is an invitation for everyone to come. given any other day i would not go as well.. just not into these kind of things but then i heard that everyone else is going because the VP said to come. i know this is not mandatory and i am not one who always go just because they said so but then again i was absent yesterday to make it up today i guess i should go. lol. oh well i might go and eat something nice tonight and see what the dessert is.

Hi, As I am part of a corporate office, there may be parties or get-together at intervels like week-ends, speical occasion, promotions, birthdays, and so on. Working for this company for morethan 15 years made me in such a way that attend, if possible for all. Simply because it is fun and as per our working culture, such occasions used to give a lot of relife and pleasure. However, I am not an alcaholic, I may miss the team-spirit. However, I would really enjoy the party by dancing and enjoying the music and the food and the rest, expcpt the hot drinks.

You are good at it then, probably because you were to adapt the culture.. well i have been here for four years now and well, i like it here, i love working here but then i could just not get myself into that party spirit. maybe because i am not that much of someone who loves parties even back then.. i would still rather work or read a book or go home and sleep.

Hi, Thanks for your your response. You are true. Everyone has their own interst and choice and some are not so interested in socialising and some parites may end up with a lots of booz and if it is a huge crowd and we cannot what type of poeple around, especially if it is in the case of women. And also, some parties move upto late nights and we may be too much dull after the parties and dances, which may cause next day, a tiring and boring.

hi jazel, I know how it feels I've been a party organizer before in fact I enjoyed it a lot but time comes I get tired of doing the same so if there are birthday party or baptismal invitation I don't feel like coming. Well if you think you don't want to then don't force yourself you will not enjoy it happy mylotting

I often feel like I do not want to go to social events. Most time when I do go, I am glad I did so. you have been sick, so of course you do not feel like going, but maybe there will be something really yummy for you to eat. It will look polite at least.

I was never been a party animal lols (that's what they called it right) :p I guess you must go and make up with your absent yesterday. Besides you need to mingle with your colleagues outside the office and this is the right time to make chika-chika- sometimes

Well, in answer to the question that you have titled this thread, I can tell you about me, personally and usually are not excited about going to parties. And frankly speaking I do not even care that there is to eat (during this time that I'm putting on a diet!). This also to the fact that this feast should arouse more interest in me. I would see the absurdity that a visit just knowing that I eat well!

Just go and attend the party my friend. I assure you it will be fun. If you will not come, surely you will miss the night and that you still have to apologize to your VP for not being able to come. Enjoy the party and meet people there.

Really? So funny of you. I think you just didn't want to make your boss get disappointed of you if you're not going to be there. Anyways, at least you showed.

When I was younger, my family was the one mostly to arrive late or the last at any relative's occasion, because of frequent experience, I have developed this attitude of being shy even around people I know. I am always conscious especially because of my physical appearance. This is probably also the reason why I tend to avoid places with many people. I have become sort of anti-social. I do not really feel enthusiastic at all to go to parties and events the include a lot of people. Now, I would only go to for reasons such as, I represent our family because my father and most of my siblings wouldn't attend as well, I am forced by friends, and I like the food. Of course if the event is to celebrate very important matter or with very significant value then I would be going, but mostly it's still just because of the food.

Me too... I am not fond of parties. I however am always around when there are farewell or send-off parties or when there are problems to discuss. I am not a party person. I hope there is nothing wrong with being unenthusiastic about parties.

I am always enthusiastic about going to parties. It's a chance to socialize with a group of people you know and don't know. You can increase your number of friends and maybe meet your lifetime partner. The enjoyable part there is you can meet a lot of single and ready to mingle women.
