What a weird movie. I watched it on AMC or TCM lastnight. It had Adrian Pasdar as the main character, Caleb. And Jenny Wright as Mae, the vampire. Also in it was Bill Paxton who played a horrible character. Have you seen this one? The main character, Caleb meets Mae outside a convenience store. He goes through the rest of the movie trying live through this nightmarish experience with a band of vamps. 94 minutes long. I am a vampire fan but this one is silly. She barely bites him, just like a nibble or something. Not like a True Blood experience at all. Yet he is a full fledged vampire. The ending is just crazy and i won't get into it because it will ruin it for you if I do. But it is crazy. Your thoughts.

One of my favorite vampire movies. Half of the movie cast is from Aliens (Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton and Jenette Goldstein). I agree the ending was pretty silly but there were many great moments like the scene in the bar.

Yes, I agree. The scene in the bar is probably the best part of the entire movie. They had a camper van at one point. Kept changing vehicles.

I am not into vampires at all. I do have friend who is into vampires. He wanted to be bitten by one as a kid! He knows that won't happen but he still loves vampires. He has read alot books on vampires and has seen all the New Moon/Breaking Dawn movies. he is also a fan of "true Blood".

Not a fan of vamp movies? Wow! True Blood and Breaking bad are my two favorite shows right now. It's my night too cause they are both on.

"Near dark" the title looks familiar..probably i bumped into the dvds etc somewhere in the video store..will not watch it probably..unless for free..

I have not seen that one. I am tempted to check it out, though. I'll have to do that when my boyfriend is out for a while, though, since he can't stand my vampire movies and shows. Really, he has fallen asleep during True Blood.

Falling asleep during True Blood? Is the man sick or what? It's my all time favorite right now. Catch Near Dark on a off night. Its pretty weird. Not a fave by any means.

This movie is eluding me. I was searching for it all evening, I know I have it but I can't find the damn thing! After this discussion it better be worth the watch
