This isn't to start a political debate or anything, as I'm not into politics enough to comment entirely but am starting this discussion with the little knowledge I do have about the health care law that might be upon us all soon in the US. I'm all for more people being covered by health insurance somehow, but hate that the tax fine will on it if we don't get it ourselves.
And, did you ever think about this....
How crowded the hospitals will become with more people staying in them and for longer amounts of time if Barack Obama has more of us mandatorily getting our own health insurance!?! Or won't that be a problem? Just curious to see some comments about it.

I don't think that this new health insurance thing will put people in the hospital more. I thnk it will make the doctors busier and we will see appointments being harder to get. I wonder about that alot. I think ER might be busier too since people will have insureance and are more apt to so to to ER for things. I am curious as how things will go too.

Yea, they will be busier and perhaps there might be more demand for doctors, nurses, etc too. It just makes me wonder if the politians have thought about all of these things, they probably have but I don't like the fact that appts might be harder to come by, and ER will be busier.

I think so. And this is what the politicians get the big bucks for.

There are also several taxes included in it that will affect everyone who pays them. For instance one starts in 2013 that raises the percentage of your income that your medical expenses have to be for you to deduct them from the present 7.5% to 10%. For example if you have an income of $20,000, right now you can deduct medical expenses that are over the amount of $1,500 but in 2013 that will go up to the expenses over $2,000.
