I always felt that the other actors on Two and a Half Men had more to do with its success than Charlie Sheen who was for the most part just being the same jerk that he was in real life. Now that Sheen is gone and Ashton Kurcher in on the show, I don't thin he is good for the show. It is still being carried by the other actors and as proof of this, there is John Cryer's nomination for the Emmy. But several of the other characters have always been the reason for the success of the show including Berta, Jake, Rose and of course the mother of Alan and Charlie.

Well, I only heard of this TV serial on the media. This is because it has probably never been broadcast in Italy. I still have to infer, from what thou hast well described, that it it is an interesting television series. Maybe (of course, the title will be translated) could transmit it in my country in some time. If so it will probably follow it.

I like Ashton on the show...only I think they are writing him wrong. I understand that they felt the need to do a 180 on Charlie's character so we couldn't do a comparison of the 2 characters. I was hoping they would write him in much like his Kelso character on That 70's Show & he'd be a goofier, younger version of Charlie!!! Kathy Bates was hilarious as the ghost of Charlie & that would have worked for a while until they could have worked somebody in instead of putting the rush on introducing Ashton's character!!! I'm one of those people who always thought Charlie carried that show. That is, until Charlie wigged out & Alan got to shine!!! Then when I got to thinking, I remembered that when I laughed the hardest it was when Charlie was setting them up & Alan was slamming them in!!! I truly hope Alan gets the recognition he deserves!!!

In the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, the nominees are: Larry David for HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Jon Cryer for CBS' "Two and a Half Men," Louis C.K. for FX's "Louie," Jim Parsons for "The Big Bang Theory," Don Cheadle for Showtime's "House of Lies," and Alec Baldwin for NBC's "30 Rock." Should be interesting to see who wins in this group, as several have a good chance. I like that there are cable shows on the list, as there were years that being on cable like FX and nobody would have a clue about your show. I saw a write up about the show a few days ago and watched a clip. Don Cheadle's show I have watched and he is really good. I'm a Larry David fan and have been for years. We have watched Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory and 30 Rock a few times.

Did you see Ashley Judd was nominated for Missing? In the lead actresses for a MINISERIES/TVMOVIE category!!! What the heck?! It was a regular show that got canceled, and that makes them able to put it in the miniseries section?

Hi stealthy, I was not aware of john cryers nomination, has he been nominated much in the past for two and a half men? my gut tells me no. i have never liked that show and dont really get its mass appeal, the comedy is mediocre at best but i guess it just is made to get a lot of people watching rather than quality television. i think that he should not win, maybe when the show first came out and the repetitive antics hadnt gotten old. i also dont appreciate the addition of ashton kutcher another publicity stunt i take it. i did like zach galifianakis trying to get on the show in the movie due date, the movie was okay but that part i found really humourous!
