sooraj interesting topic. In fact I take a session on credit card for an hour in banks. you can choose citi bank card or even Union bank with whom you are having an account must be issuing card. You need salary certificate, IT deduction made last two/three years, address proof, ration card, photos, details of bank accounts. Based on your income credit limit will be fixed by the bank. While using credit card one has to be careful. It will be billed as on 15th or 1st as the case may be. My card is billed on 15th. Supposing I buy articles on 16th July then that will be included in 15th August statement and I will have time for making payment till 30th August. I should make payment fully before that date. otherwise they will charge penal interest normally ranging 2.5% per month (30 per cent per annum). in case you have any doubt please ask.

There are many different credit credits with different interest rates, terms and conditions, etc. Why do you want a credit card? Are you trying to build a line of credit for yourself? If so, that's the only reason I would recommend getting one. If you activate a new credit card, for a person who doesn't currently have an established line of credit you want to use it, and pay the monthly amount (or more) for at least 6 months. Don't pay it off completely in the first month if you're trying to establish a line of credit. After you successfully pay your bill, on time every month, for at least 6 month you can pay it off and request that your account be closed. Then you will have a good credit score with a positive credit rating for the future.

While using credit cards --one should make full payment of the card bill amount before the due date. As otherwise penal interest will be added to the amount and it will increase enormously. In fact many westerners were put into difficult on account of wrong using of credit cards. They normally did not settle the credit card bills and that resulted in credit scores being brought down. for making payment of oen card they relied on another card etc. Buy and pay on due date is a good policy.
