Have you had Dreams what you would like to do from when you where a Child? I have and that dream is still with me, even though I guess it will never come true unless I win the Lottery lol My Dream has always been to buy a big piece of Land and then to take in all Dogs that have been found or mistreated or just need a home full of love and care If anyone would want of those Babies I would check the People out 100% as in it would take at least a week and till I am satisfied that the Dog is going to a good home but again I know it would be hard for me to let them go lol This has been my dream for as long as I can remember maybe that is why I always took in a Rescue and so far I have not ever had a bad one they all turned into loving and devoted Friends It hurts me to know what they have been through and what People have done them Gissi was the worse treated Dog I had ever taken home and it took me 3 years to get him to what he is now, he is not scared of People any more like he used to be the only Person he would turn to was me but now he is a happy and friendly little Fellow with a Personality lol Last Night I had a Dream that Gissi was bringing home all these little Strays I was living in a Bungalow on a big piece of land which had Kennels looking like little houses, Dog toys everywhere, a pool for the babies and just lots of stuff for them, that is how I always imagined it to be lol, my other dream has always been to swim with a Dolphin but if I had to choose the first one would be my choice So have you had a Dream from Child onwards

I would have loved to be a ballerina, I think, but there was never any chance of that. Closest I could get would be to take dance aerobics classes, as I love music and movement. I really have not had any other dream goals. I wanted a big old house, and I have it, but no money to maintain or fix it up. It is good to do what you can to achieve your dreams.

I always wanted adventure and excitement - but these days, not so much. I guess my excitement is breaking up cat fights... gotta go do that!

Yeah... I have 4 very small cats, Blossom is the largest of the 4 and her sister, Flower, is the smallest, with Kismet and Daisy between. Daisy and Kismet have discovered that Blossom is a big sissy and they can even intimidate Flower. But just so you know that Blossom and Flower aren't always the ones being picked on, they go after Mo, our second largest, now HE'S a big sissy!

When I was a child, I wanted to be a cowboy... getting in barroom brawls and shooting people... I also wanted to be a contortionist.

And you'd be right, although my mom told me she had to help me sort myself out one time when I tried to copy the circus act...

I had better only tell you the clean dream! I wanted to be an explorer, an adventurer who discovered new lands and new peoples. I used to love to watch old National Geographic films, often in black and white, that showed brave men, they were always man I'm afraid, canoeing in the Arctic or trekking across sandy deserts in their pursuit to ever widen the wonderful British Empire. Of course these days, such thoughts are hideously imperialistic and completely politically incorrect! But you did want a dream and not the reality.

My dreams were to be a Vet and help sick animals. This feel apart when I realized tht I would also have to deal with the owner who had not taken proper care of their animals, I knew that the first one of those I came across I would have done physical harm. However I still dream about helping animals. We have taken stray or shelter animals as often as we could afford to.

I know Pat I know exactly what you are saying that is one of the reasons my Son never became a Vet as he is also a big animal lover and at one stage was considering becoming a Vet

Thanks for dropping by, I was concerned about my account being compromised, the security on Facebook is not up to much, maybe it's my paranoia, I was spending too much time on the games too, and it looks like I will have to find work soon offline. I hope the operation went ok, my thoughts and prayers are with Gissi I missed you both xxx

My biggest and probably only dream is to get my own place, get my independence back which I scream out for! I would love my own place, somewhere quiet, away from noisy people, in fact if I had my way I'd have my own island and be the only person on it! I am NOT a people person, and I do better when I am on my own. I'd have my own personal gym, swimming pool, games room, computers, televisions and food and I'd be happier than a piggy in doodah! When I was younger I was always dreaming of having a loving partner, however after 9 years of hell, that dream became a nightmare. They do say be careful what you wish for it might come true!!!! One day I hope I will have my own place, just have to be patient xxxx

The loving, kind and giving type of person you are makes you dream these wonderful dreams of helping and caring others. My dreams are quickly forgotten or perhaps I have not gotten into the REM sleep as much as I need to. My dreams for my future have always been to own a home. Not a large elaborate one, just something to suite my needs. A place where I can find solitude and peace.

as a child i dreamed of marrying a rich man with a mustache that smoked a pipe and becoming a doctor. later after a few marriages that were nothing like that i just dreamed of a big old house with lots of property where i could have all my kids live near by and all the animals i wanted. just lots and lots of animals. that dream i still have. minus the kids living with me. so mine is similar to yours.

I guess the dream I have carried is nowhere near as nice as yours. I have always just wanted to be a writer. I have not pursued it, I have had to do other things to ensure the survival of me and my family but maybe later. I have always loved the idea of a rescue too. Every time I would volunteer at the animal shelter, I would go home heartbroken. I had rescue schnauzer that was 5 when I got her. Her paws had never touched the grass before. She was kenneled and used to breed. It was sad but we had her for four years before she passed and she was very loved and spoiled.

hi dear Gabs, yes I had a dream from childhood onwards. When I was about 4 years old my maternal family and me moved to another city. We took a walk around the neighbourhood and a small kitten followed me. My mother did not like cats and shooed the kitten away several times. This started my love for kitties and I sooo wanted to give a cat a home. My mother didnt let me though I promised it would only be in my room then. And with my mother a no was a no and never a half hearted yes. I am a person who needs some security to take the next step so I waited patiently till I had a stable job where I would sure stay a number of years till I moved out from my mothers place. I was 31 years old then and one of my friends in the Baptist Church who owned the house right around the corner of the Church Property offered me the apartment under the roof there. I gladly said yes but it was so warm in summertime that I knew a kitty would sure suffer in there as it was not insulated at all so...... first rented place and still no kitty. In 2005 I got married and relocated to another town. As I commute for 4 hours to work every morning and the same 4 hours back home in the evening I made sure our first apartment as newlyweds where we are still up to now, would be quite close to the station. You can see the trains roll past from our house as its so near to the train tracks and its 25 minutes to walk or 5 minutes by car to the station. Very nice. But what does the renting contract say? No Cats and no Dogs, Soooo again no kitty for me. I plan to move in about 10 years when I wont have to work and to commute any longer. So hopefully then we will find a place close enough to supermarkets and church to have these locations within walking distance and this time I will search for a new place where a cat or better two are welcome too. If things go as planned it will be 57 years then which I waited for my dream to come true.

We don't feed them wet food, so opening cans isn't as effective as someone who does feed wet food. the only ones who get wet food are sick....

Yes, I would consider myself a dreamer. I have always been one to have Dreams and many times have tried to make them come to pass, but it never just seems the right time. My dream has always been to own my own little shop. Now it has turned into more of one where I would own, and have items of my own for sale, but also rent out like some of the other spaces to others and have them display their items to help out with some of the costs there. Am even going to be looking into something like this this next yr. and see what it would take to make this happen.

When I was little, for a long time it was my dream to become a princess when I grew up. There were not many details other than a lovely dress and a castle. My imagination came from fairy stories but as I was too young to read them at first I don't know where the idea came from. Later, when I was a pre-teen, I wanted to be a ballet dancer. Again, the beautiful tutus and long tulle dresses featured - I thought the dresses would make me amazingly beautiful.
