I had an experience with a person that could be very deterimental to him when revealed, how can i balance my freedom of speech without commiting libel? Are there laws/rights that protect specific written words even if they can be deemded as accusations?

First of all, I don't know what country you are in, because that makes a big difference. But, you can't print or say anything about anyone unless you can prove that it's true. So, if you have the proof to back you up, then it's not libel. However, there may be laws in regard to privacy and anything that would cause a person not to be able to make a living or restrict their movement. For instance, if you reveal that this person is a child molester and it causes the person to lose his/her job or get evicted from his/her apartment, that person may be able to sue you. Since this was posted such a long time ago, I hope you took the right path.
