HDL (High Density Lypoprotein) is like the video game Pac Man when it comes to the cleansing of the blood. It goes through the blood picking up and getting out the bad stuff that clogs the artieries. I was watching Your Health this morning and the Doctor said that Vitamin D3 increases HDL in the blood. So, if you have trouble with this you need to take more or start taking Vitamin D3. Were you aware?

I don't know if the 3 makes this vitamin different from just vitamin D, but yes I knew it was something we need and why I am not so pushy on using sunscreen ALL the time, because the sun gives us natural vitamin D...

Yes, the '3' does make it different. Just like Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12.

That is interesting to know, my mom has problems with her cholesterol and the Dr only prescribed some medicine for her. Not the vitamin which I'm sure if much safer and effective for her to use. I know D3 is a good vitamin to have in your bloodstream, I have thought about taking more in of that myself. Ecvellant discussion, celtic! I hope it really helps someone out with their high cholesterol.

Doctors don't usually prescribe vitamins. I think they should do more of it. I hope it helps me. I got some and am taking it daily.
