When Visiting Your Friends Discussions

I often wonder if #1 many of us take time to do this, and #2 are you taking time to respond back to people responding back in yours? I know many times when I just feel bored, but want to post in here, I will go check out a friend I have had in here for a while who I know is quite active here, and go thru their Top 10 started discussions and take time to respond back to all of them if I am interested, and go from there. For me since time is so limited in here at times, this gives me a good chance to try and catch up on some of what I might have missed, and find out what is going on in their life right now as well. It also makes me feel Glad to have a chance to get to know them even a little better and have Fun as well. But I know if I tried to go thru everyone it would take me many months to do so, and not really worth it for people not that active in here. But it is really worth doing from time to time and it never hurts to post to others here for sure. Anyone else's thoughts on this, or have you done this? ~~TINA~~

I try my best to get to the discussions of certain friends. It's not like they post a zillion discussions a day, so it is possible to find them and comment on their discussions even if some time has passed by. I'm here on most days, though not all day to comment - you're right it'd be impossible to get to everyone for every discussion. And in most cases I do respond back to my responders - even if it takes me a while (like weeks in some cases) . . . I know we are not obligated, but I just do. And with other myLotters and other discussions, I am all over the place. I don't really have a system - I just go wherever my mood takes me at the moment.

Yes, there is no way I could keep up with all my Friends discussions via my Email. I do go from time to time and try and respond back to some of them to make people aware I do care, but for the most part I spend time posting back to my friends when I see a New discussion started in my Interests or Discussions Friends started as well.

Oh yes, ravisivan, I look at the myLot home page too (in fact, I rely on that and my profile page rather than emails). If not my "friends", I will look up and down any list of discussions to respond to!

Whenever see a discussion started by some friends I make it a point to respond--at least 50% of their discussions. Apart from that I watch the mylot page --i respond for new discussions.

I normally respond to new discussion appearing on mylot main page just as this one. I start a few discussions and I take care to reply for responses received without fail. Rarely I go through old discussions of friends --for example today I went thro old discussion of HWG and I saw you have posted a response about four months ago. This discussion has started two years ago. hWG is not logging in for the last few months. Once she use to be very regular in mylot. Hatley aunty also is not coming for the last three days - perhaps she is not well.

Well, I have been known to respond back to discussions, especially of friends even if they are no longer active, because I am constantly going to my Email and responding back to discussions that are coming in there. Since we get paid for them no matter when they were started just for responding back, I feel it does not matter, but always nice when it is someone still active here, and they take time to respond back.

This is a relevant point KrauseHome ! I always respond to those members who respond and take part in my discussions .I normally go through all the discussions started by my friends and then go on to other discussions ...I also make it a point to respond to at least one discussion from new user category ! all the best and happy mylotting

The vast majority of the discussions that I will respond to when I am spending time on here are discussions that my friends have started. The reason that I do that is because of the fact that I pretty much know that a lot of my friends are going to respond to the discussions that I start and I also know that they are going to take the time to actually make a discussion out of the comments that I post on their discussions. However, when I don't have many discussions to respond to that my friends have started, I will actually start to look at the recent discussions tab.

Hi. Most of the time I check out my friends discussions and start replying to the ones which I find interesting or know something about. And then I go through my interests or today's top discussions. But even this list is too much for me. I would not have the time to fully reply to discussions started by my friends first. I hardly spend half an hour or so in mylot.

I try and respond to everyone who responds to me or comments on a discussion i make. It can be hard to keep up and sometimes you dont always get an email sometimes i think i miss them, but i try my hardest to check on things and make sure i do my best to respond because it annoys me when someone responds to 2 people that comment to them and not the rest and even more when they comment on the 1st one or 2 then skip 3 or 4 people and comment on another one, they cant say they didnt see the others. If i dont know what to say i at least say thanks.

Well, I might be behind when it comes to responding back to the discussions that I start here, but I do respond back when I can, and appreciate taking the time to getting to know everyone here. If people are not responding back it often hurts them in the end.

My regular job sometimes keeps me away from Mylot for weeks on end. I do enjoy catching up on my friends, especially those who are very active. It is a great way to get back in the swing of posting and it catches me up on what my pals have been up to. Generally, I look for more recent posts within the first ten pages of discussions my friends have started. Regardless of when and how long I post, it is always good to catch up. I do try to respond to responses my postings receive. Mostly I reply within a few weeks but sometimes I take longer. Eventually, I do answer all who reply to the discussions I start. I am not too great about checking the replies I make to the postings of others but I do check them as I can...that's a huge job.

Yes sure sometimes there aint topics for me to respond to and many a times I aint feeling theurge to create a new topic so I just search for some friend's interesting topic to comment on. Lately I have been going to the hot topics session to drop comments. I think it has been more fun for me lately

I make it a priority to comment back on responses I received. But that would only take me few minutes here since I hardly start any discussion or would only receive few responses anyway. So the rest of my time here is just searching through other discussions, be it started by those in my friends list or not.

I always get mails when my friends start a new discussion. I immediately view what the discussion is about. If I am interested in that discussion, I post my comments.

Hi friend, i am interested in taking part of my friends topic as well as interacting with them. I like to place comments to each and every person whoever replied to my topics, but some time we have some other work and don't have the ability to do it properly, so we can take our own time to place comments and replies

Most of the time I prefer to respond to a friends discussion because I feel like I'm establishing connections with them rather than replying to discussions not on my friends list. It still feels good that you make a friend happy by just responding to their forum, right?
