Mosquitoes in the House? :P

I was just taking care of some of the veggies my bro brought in the house like green beans, and cut them up and put them in the pot on the stove to singe(or whatever the rightful term is I can't recall it right now LOL). Then I noticed I started itching. I then realize it was stinging and they felt like mosquito bites. I wasn't even outside. My brother never gets bit by them but I think he was bringing them in on his clothes as he kept coming in and out several times. I hope they don't stay in the house now as I'm really sensitive to these bites, I have washed them areas where I was bit and put my natural ( not chemicals) deodorant stick on them as I heard that it helps from having them itch so much (it does work. But wow I was so angry at this. I didn't even go outside and was still getting bit by these evil critters. No one else but me in the house at that time too. I have never gotten this many bites indoors. They seem to be rampant here. :( How about there? Pretty soon I'm gonna have to buy some mosquito netting just to survive. And after my FB friend said recently her dad was bit by something that caused him to be hospitalized with malaria in this state I wonder what they can do as far as damage to someone, sheesh. Serious problem.

We have a terrible mosquito problem here in mexico. Pipes leaks, people leave water on. Mosquitos love that. I have to keep doors and windows closed all the time here.

Yes, some places like that where you live can be alot worse. This is getting to be a bigger problem by the year in this state in the US too. I think there are too many places for the mosquitoes to thrive, such as one of the buckets here filled with water that my brother refuses to dump. Its only cause he doesn't get bit by them, otherwise he would dump it I'm sure. People are so selfish, family or not. With family like mine though who needs enemies.

Mosquitoes thrive in damp conditions and that must be the situation in your house at the moment. And strangely they are selective in choosing their victims!
. We have a cream called 'Odomos' that one can apply that repels mosquitoes as also some devices that keep mosquitoes at bay.

You could have gotten them off the vegetables. THey have to lay somewhere in wait for their next victim. I wonder if you use a soap that is perfumed or perfume. Mosquitoes like perfumed people. THose that smell good! So if you wash and don't use any soap with aroma that may help.

Yea, they could have been on or near the veggies too. I did wash them off though and perhaps they didn't care for that. Otherwise I don't know where they came from. I'm not getting bit up anymore outside of that one incident in the kitchen today, how wierd is that. I don't use a scented soap really, it's just a hypoallergenic soap I get at the dollar store. Otherwise my body wash is also basically unscented due to allergic reactions supposedly my DR said I have. I will try to not use so much perfumy stuff.
