I am referring to Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon, they are experiencing heavy rains and the place is still very much flooded. Some areas the flood is as high as two storey building. Some people do not have homes to live by now and no food.. it is scary that they are going through all of it..and so sad as some have babies and do not have the right shelter. I am just so happy that in our part of the country mr. sun is up and about but a part of me is also sad as i know some of my Filipino brothers and sisters are having a hard time. i hope we all take time to pray for them, that they will surpass all of these.

Families being rescued - The flood rendered many families homeless. Those in the rooftops were evacuated through by wooden or rubber boats.
Yes, I could not really help but pity these flood victims. They were like swallowed up by the big flood. How could they've been caught unaware? Why did they not evacuate before the flood? How sad for them. We are blessed we did not have that kind of destruction. All we could ever do is to pray that those in their rooftop still could be rescued the earliest possible time.

well we also cannot blame them as it is the only property they have, that is why it was hard for them to leave the area plus they did not really expect the water would reach that high as no typhoon was announced...just the normal monsoon...yet it was not normal at all.

In some parts of the U.S.A. it's like that right now, but where I am from, it's just really really hot around here. We would give anything for rain right now.

It really is scary... I don't know why Philippines have gone this bad.. I feel so sad about how our fellow Filipinos are going through right now.. If only we could do something about it. I'm about to say we are lucky co'z our area here is not flooded but then we are also afraid of bomb threats in our place. All we really need here is prayer to our Dear God..For us to strengthen our faith to him and not to lose hope..

The rain hasn't stopped and I heard on the news that the rain will still continue up until Thursday. I feel so bad that I can't do anything for those who are heavily affected by this but to pray for them. I pity those who are on their rooftops because their houses were flooded. On the other hand, I still believe that Filipinos can surpass this just like Ondoy.

Yes if there is one good thing about us Filipinos is that we can surpass trials and move on. I even saw on TV where NLEX was flooded too and there were people stranded in cars as they have nowhere to go..and there were some with sari sari store at the side, they were still able to sell food for the people in the car..thus them not getting hungry at all.. it is funny at the same time heartbreaking but hell we can surpass this and move on. I have also seen people making make shift rafts out of nothing.. so yes we can surpass this.

It is impressive. I have seen once a flood with water up to the roof of some houses. It was possible to enter in the cathedral of the town with boats. The worst is the cleaning and repairs needed when water is gone. I will pray for these persons.

flood - a friend took this picture just now..this is outside the mall.
yes impressive but heart breaking as our country's disaster management program of the government is not impressive at all. so many are without food right now, no shelter...and are outside cold

It's also raining hard here in our place at Tarlac City. Most streets are flooded and the news said it will keep on raining the whole day. Classes are suspended so I am home with the kids. I put them all to sleep after watching a series of Naruto from a DVD I bought last weekend. I hope the rain will stop soon. We are lucky that our house is elevated so we don't worry much for ourselves. But it is sad that the coutry will again be facing much expenses on repairs and that a lot of our fellow men are sheltered under evacuation areas because their homes are already under floods. My mom hates seeing the news showcasing poor people affected by these rains. She says it is because we have so much garbage in the country that the water cannot drain to avoid the areas from flooding. We throw our garbage just about anywhere- along the streets, on rivers, etc. Etc. Then we cut trees and do not plant anew so we have no more decent forest left. I cannot argue with her when she is irate like this because she will not listen to anything. I just let her be on her litany. :( But during this time of our lives when we see people suffering, it is not really helpful to point fingers on whose fault it is. It is better to pray and extend help to those in need. No use blaming, but true that we must learn from these mistakes and try to move on and improve ourselves and our actions while we still have time to do so.

yes there is no use blaming as everything has been done..and all we need right now is a solution to this, and how to help those who are in need right now. I have seen little children evacuated and my heart goes out to them.

I really hope and pray that the rain stops and flood subsides. I've been reading a lot of facebook status from people living in my town about the non-stop rain and flood. I am glad that even though outside the house it is so flooded, my family is safe.

its just a matter of time since all the places will have strong floody areas.so once it gets dried up ,we can surpass it with ease and enjoy the pleasant streets with good sunshine.the good days are sooner to arrive.so we will hope and pray that the filipino brothers and sisters get back to their normal life very faster and it will be fine for sure in a short span of time

This is mary from india. I will pray to god to surpass the rain effects. Here in tamilnadu no rain is coming. We are expecting the rain. One part of the world is affected by heavy rain and other part of the world is affected by no rain. what to do. we can survive all this. God only clear all our sufferings. Change is the only thing that doesn't change. Mr. sun will appear there also. No worries. Thank you.
