More Excuses! Ugh

Is anyone here tired of getting excuses after excuses for the same person over and over? It just makes me sick how some people are allowed to get away with everything, that they actually know they can depend on others to make excuses for them in an instant with anything. That is how powerful they are, it must be nice having a huge temper so that people are so scared of you they will do or say anything to defend you. OMG, I can't take it anymore.

People giving excuses, eh? And others making excuses for them. THat is not good. It is called being co-dependant. Have co-dependency is very common and it happens alot. Not to say it is right, just that it is very common. People need to set up good boundaries and not be co-dependant of and to others. It is easier said than done but it can be eliminated with the help of a counselor. THere are some good books out there on the subject also.

Well, it just seems to always be a favorite in every family. Atleast you know the truth of the matter. If there is nothing you can do about it then I would seek help in withstanding it. Take care of yourself.

I think this family needs loads of counselling, but good luck with that. They would never agree to it. I think what bothers me alot too is the fact that I'm usually the one who is critisized for everything and I don't get the chance to have anyone make excuses for me like they do with him. He is the baby of the family, the "perfect" one, the one with all the temper tantrums, the hoarding tendencies, hatred for relationships (or perhaps even being gay in his case sometimes I think he is!), the dumber one, the one with OCD, you name it.

Ugh! I know what you mean! After awhile they just expect it, like it's their right. And if you don't accept their excuse, not only do they get mad at you, but the others who helped them get mad at you also.

You could not have said it better. That is exactly my situation here at times. Mom isn't all that bad right now but if I didn't have the surgery she would have been making me feel guilty etc like mad. I can't understand how people are at all, I never will with these people.

I know how you feel. I live with someone like that, and UGGG every time they open their mouth I want to grab for a barf bag, because I know what ever was going to come out of their face is going to make me sick. Be strong and ignore them, so you don't stress yourself out and possibly do something you regret later!!

Not only that he will lie and they believe his lies. He said he did something the other day which I know he did not, and it was just like oh he said he did it so it must be true. Grrrrrrrrrrr. I knew for a fact he lied cause of the proof in front of me, how dumb can some people be.
