Considering Seeing a Career Counsellor..

I'd like to further my education and I feel like at the age of 27 I should know what I want to do by now and I don't have a clue. Do any of you have experience with seeing a career counsellor? What kinds of things take place during the session? Was it helpful to you or anyone you know? I appreciate any feedback on this topic, thanks.

I'm 27 and in the same boat. I decided I'm just going to win the lottery and travel around and that will settle it
I've never seen a career councillor before though so sorry can't be helpful but I would imagine they would start by finding out about your interests and personality and things like that to then guide you through to what you'd like to do

it does not work on everybody, i mean,all depend on your interests. if you want a further edu,you must give up some things you have now . but it is sure that,if you choose one way ,you should not regret

I prefer taking myself to a counselor when ever I feel like no matter what the issue is. As far as studies is concerned, yes that too is a field which needs more often than not. It may not necessarily be a professional counselor I always look for. I take advices from my experienced family members in this field who have had been successful. I go to my favourite teachers with whom I feel comfortable nomatter when they had taught me. Counseling I feel is nothing but making your mind crystal clear and helping you to come on a conclusion.
