Generic drugs or Branded drugs

Did you ever experience when your doctor prescribed a lot of medicines? What do you usually buy, branded or generic medicines. I have an aunt who does not want to buy generic brands. She believed that generic medicines are not that effective so she usually buy branded. My mother tells her that generics and branded are the same but still she do not want to believe it. We cannot blame her, it is her right. But as for us, we usually buy generic drugs because the effect and quality are the same.Which of the two do you usually prefer?

I'll buy the generic version if available. There is no difference in how they work. One is just less expensive.

Generic and Branded like what you have said is almost the same. They have the same chemical content. It just differs in promotion and marketing that is been received by customers. Branded is more like famous and generic is not. My grandma is also like your aunt of yours. But sometimes she still buys generic when that kind of medicine is not important like for itch or something like that. I buy branded than generic especially when the price is almost the same. But when there is a big difference then i`ll buy generic. Any will do
