We are home from vacation now but I wanted to share one of my most favorite things we did while out in Colorado. We went to this place called the Pickled Painter. This place was so cool. As a group of 9 of us we went and what they do is the group picks a painting out from the wall and they have artists who teach you how to paint them yourselves all the while they serve beer and wine and hard cider! It was so much fun. We drank, painted made jokes and just had a great time. It was amazing to see how different everyone's paintings where from one another's when we where all painting the same thing! I just wanted to share so if anyone else was going out this way or lives out there they could check it out. So worth it. http://pickledpainter.com/

That sounds like SO much fun! Wish we had something like that around here! It would be cool to take the nearly blind roomie and maybe a few other friends. I don't think the totally blind one would enjoy it, but I think the other one would get a kick out of it. We had loads of fun paint pottery before that place closed.

If we decide to stay in this area I am thinking maybe of opening one up around here. I think it would go over quite well.

That would be a lot of fun - maybe talk to them about how to start it, even if they will "franchise" the name.

Sounds like fun! We (Austin, Texas) don't have this, & it would fit right in! We DID have a place where those who liked to do pottery could come & paint. Lots of fun, but old history, now. Thanks for sharing! MP

They had a pottery place like that right next door! I wanted to do that too but ran out of time. We have nothing like that here. I loved pottery class in college and would like to get back into it some day I think.

Wow! Sounds like that would be amazingly fun! And this is over in Colorado? Something I'll want to keep in mind if I ever make my way over there :)
