A 24-hour visit

There is a Danish travel site where they have travel guides for different cities around the world. I like to read the 24-hour guides where they suggest the things to see and do if you only have 24 hours in a certain city. I plan on spending more time at each place, but it is a nice way to read about the most important sights.
If a tourist had 24 hours in my area I would suggest a visit to the neighnour island. Odense is the 3rd largest city in Denmark and it is the city where Hans Christian Andersen was born. I would suggest a visit to his museum and a walk in the old part of town.
Then you could go to my island and visit the main town (Rudkobing) and the town Tranekaer where there is an old windmill, a beautiful castle and a sculpture park. I would also like to suggest a visit to a small island called Stryno, but I don't think that you would have enough time for that if you only had 24 hours.
If a tourist was going to visit your area and he or she only had 24 hours to spend which places or things would you recommend or why? Would it be best to stay in your city/town/village and spend the time there or would you include another place in the area as well?

Thank for for the nice words about my country. I am happy to hear that you have corresponded with people from Denmark. Your response reminded me about the time when I was younger. I had penfriends from a lot of different countries and it was really interesting to learn more about their countries through their letters. I also had a penfriend from India. We don't exchange snail mail letters anymore, but we are still in touch, today we write eachother on Facebook instead. I hope to visit him one day, he is from Chennai.

I also keep some of my old letters from my penpals, they are nice memories from the past. I don't write handwritten letters anymore. I need a visa to get into India and that makes it a little a complicated and expensive, but I hope that I will be able to visit India one day. It is one of my big dreams to go India. I will send you a message if I manage to get a visa for India in the future

That sounds like an interesting website. I know 24 hours isn't very much time so I would concentrate saying about the center of London if a tourist visited my home country's capital city.
He or she could begin looking at Tower Bridge and visit the fascinating Tower of London in the morning. He or she could take a boat along the river to see some views of the water. Then he or she could take a ride on the sightseeing wheel called the London Eye. He or she could look around historic Trafalgar Square.

Yes, 24 hours isn't much time, so a tourist who only has 24 hours would have to focus on the most important sights. I found it interesting to read the list of things to to do in 24 hours because those list introduce us to some of the famous sights that you "must" visit in a certain city. I think that Tower Bridge and Tower of London would be interesting places to visit for a tourist who only had a short time to spend in London. I have been to both places and I thought Tower of London was an interesting place to explore. I didn't manage to take a ride on the London Eye, because our time was limited and we didn't have time to wait in line, but maybe next time

It is quite obvious Denmark is a very beautiful country fill with friendly people n pretty sceneries, at least according to your description and the tour itinerary. I can't really think of any attraction in my country where a tourist who has only 24 hours time to spend can enjoy in his pleasure tour, most of the attractions here require a lot longer time than just 24 hours in order to fully appreciate the beauty and serenity of them, even the smaller island in Hawaii require a bit more longer time to fully explore and enjoy. Literary speaking, I will say there is no attractive resort places in my country to accomodate tourists in a hurry for a 24 hours visit, unless you like to visit an old museum with hostorical relic or a botanical garden in a small town. In a big city like mine, a tourist will probably require few days to few weeks in order to fully enjoy his/her stay.

In a small country like mine it is possible to visit a quite a lot of places on the same day, and it only takes 40 minutes to get from my island to the neighbour islands, but I can imagine that it would be very different to travel in the US because the country is much, much larger. I would find it really hard to make an itinerary for a trip to US, because there are so many places to choose from. I want to travel around in the US for 2 or 3 months in the future.

I hope that you will get the chance to visit my country in the future
Denmark consists of more than 400 islands, but some of them are uninhabited and you can only visit the uninhabited islands if you have your own boat. There is a bridge between my island and the neighbbour island so it is easy to get from one island to the next, but if you want to visit one of the small islands in the area you will have to go by ferry.
