America's Got Talent - The Youtube Show

So I'm currently watching the AGT Youtube show, and I had to bring up something that happened that I disagree with 100%.
I'm talking about the judges critique of the young singer, Drew Erwin. Howie and Howard both said he is too young and Howard even said Drew came off as "green." Sharon seemed to like him more than the guys, but she also mentioned his young age.
I must have been listening to something they weren't because I thought this kid did an absolutely amazing job! I thought he sounded brillant, and I loved the song he chose and his take on that song (he didn't butcher it AT ALL!)
Did anyone else catch the show? What did you think of young Drew? I'm definitely voting for him tonight! I want to see more!!

Actually I think you missed the judges points. He had nervous twitches missed a few notes both singing and instrument. He also cam in and out with his volume a bit. He did not butcher the song and they never said that. They merely pointed out that he is new to all of the show biz and needs more practice. I mean a baseball player can have talent that is great but that doesn't mean he'll be in the MBL just a few months after finding the game.

I didn't miss the judges points at all. And I didn't mean to apply that the judges said he butchered the song. That comment was just from my own past experiences. Usually when someone sings a song I like, and change it up a bit, I don't like it and I think they've butchered the song. I was just saying I didn't think he did that.
And back to your critique on him, I didn't notice any of that! I didn't notice any nervous twitches, or missed notes. I def. didn't notice the volume thing. Maybe I'll need to watch the video again and see if they show up to me this time. But again, I must have been listening to something different!

Sorry didn't watch the show. It seems like they don't want young people on the show. We all know of many singers that made their start as little children like Michael Jackson.

I don't think it's the fact that he is young that made them question his talent. They put through quite a few young acts (some even younger than this singer). But they used his age (called him "green") against him...saying he was not ready for the show. I disagree and I voted for him! I hope he gets through
