Secretary Robredo is dead. Hes body has been retrieved past 8am this morning inside the fuselage found between 150-180 feet deep underwater. The whole country mourns for the death of an honest and very dedicated official of our government. He is not only a loss to his family and friends but to the whole nation as a whole. Being a Nagueno myself I am deeply saddened by his passing away. I practically lived under his administration when I was in college in Naga City. From a 3rd class city he turned our city into a 1st class city which to this day the city enjoys. He fought with illegal gambling in our place getting the ire of some influential people in our place. But despite that he was deeply loved by the People of our city that is why he was given the reign for many terms because of this. Despite his being a high official in our city he remained to live as a simple citizen of our city. He never took advantage of his position to enrich himself and remained a humble servant leader to many of us. My deepest condolences to his family. best leader I have ever seen in my place. I salute your being a good family man and a father of our city.

I just hope that the government will dig deep to the cause of the plane crash and why is it that he was not able to jump off the plane. I think there could be a lot of time to jump up the plane but only the aide do this. I'm sure there will be many speculations about this, and I just like to know what is the real story behind it.

it's really disheartening that good ones are the first to go

I was thinking along the same line... It's just sad how honest government officials are often sabotaged to make ways for less honest system... May he RIP...

It is very sad to hear what happened to Secretary Robredo. I actually read he was found 400 feet deep underwater. What a way to go. But there is a reason why this has happened, and this is part of God's plan. This might be a wake up call to the people, this might be a warning. It is definitely a loss, and if the good people of the country are being taken, we should be working double time to make sure there are other good people in our government to continue to uphold those beliefs and practices.

Hi, I woke up this morning waiting for the news. I have been tracking the events since Saturday and just this morning I got a call to assist a survey group in penetrating a jungle of mangrove area in the beach nearby so I left the TV and went out. Now it's official, just opened the net and there it was: the sad news I have been waiting all along. I knew, the probability of another survivor from that plane crash got smaller as the hours went by without any sighting in spite of the hundreds of rescuers in the area. My Condolences to the citizens of this Old Republic.

actually on the days that followed after the crash my hope for his survival is waning but still prayed that he will make it through for he is one official of the present administration that i liked.

I felt sadness after i heard the news in the television because he is a good man and even i don't know him in person, i know that he is one of good leader in our country. I also feel sad for his family, I also think Secretary Robredo's wife also have good personality because she is trying to be strong for the sake of their children and for the sake of Secretary Robredo's remains and she blame no one in what happened. I admire her so much..

I just heard and watched the news about our Sec. Robredo. I am very sad right now, even though I do not know him personally but I know that he is a good person and a good secretary who's doing his best for the sake of our country. Sec. Robredo you may rest in peace.

almost everyone who know the real Sec. Robredo had only but praises and good words about him. How he still live simply, associate with old friends and common people, and remained a responsible and attentive father to his children despite the position he now hold. They said position and fame had not changed him and he still remained the simple, helpful and sincere person they have know him since. A simple man with a great heart.

another Filipino Hero has passed away. the Philippines is in sorrow after losing a great leader, and we can say also, a great father. i wish all Filipinos would continue being united not only in times like this. for me, Secretary Jesse Robredo is a true Hero, a role model not only in our government, but also to all the Filipinos worldwide. we, and if not all, most especially the youth, should look at him and be our inspirations for all the good things we do. you will be greatly missed, Sec. God bless you and your family.

you're right he's truly a hero. One of our very few public servants whose commitment to service and duty always comes first. A big big loss to us. we will surely miss him.
