I am business undergraduate degree holder , I would like to switch career and pursue Law, business is like my go2 career I am good at it but Law is my childhood dream career . I have already taken two years off to travel and to make my decision and school is about to start and I am still not sure of what I want . If I was to pursue Law I would do criminal justice bachelor degree to be qualified for Law school and pass the LSAT. I would attend Law school in Canada and do the bachelor in my home country . Anyone a lawyer here ?

Hi silverfox. it's nice to hear that you doing law is your childhood dream. since you have taken two years off to travel and that school is about to start, i think you should really think and decide what you really want. because studying for law is no joke and after that you still have to be an appretince at a law firm and stuff. so i think it is really important that you make up your mind and to decide whehter you really want to study law or to continue with business studying.

Yes Law is no joke but I welcome the challenge , Law school in Canada I think is pretty much like the US . Thank you so much for your advice I think I am now leaning toward one more because I have done some more research last night . I will be a complete different country so I have to be doing research and maybe ill have to see the college adviser they have in my country, when I get home .

definitely, Law is no laughing matter. it's really nice to hear that you are now more inclined to be studying law. i think it's a good thing to see your college adviser to see what he/she have to say about you switching courses. Hope everything goes well for you!

I am not a lawyer, but it takes a lot of burning your euyelids to be a lawyer. One of my cousin is a lawyer, it needs a passion and dedication to reach your goal. Try to reflect what is really your intentions to be a lawyer.

One of my biggest reason to wanting to be a lawyer is to defend abuse woman , and children . I have always picture myself as a lawyer but I would not be the dull type so that is why I sometime think maybe I would not be the right fit , My personality is like Reese Witherspoon in legally blond . Thanks for your input .

Hello silverfox, I'm not a law student or a lawyer either, however I'm taking up some units in law because of my college course. I'll say that it's a very interesting, could be complicated at times and challenging as well. When I was a teenager, it occurred to me that I have an interest in law, however during my late years in high school I realized something and decided not to pursue (and I think I'm not that capable of taking the course anyway, be it in financial or intellectual, it'll surely be hard for me). I envy you and the people out there who have something planned and aimed up ahead. I have always been so confused that I don't know what my dream is or if I had one at that. ^^; I wish you the best of luck in this career path! I hope all go well for you. Happy myLotting! :D

Whenever I ask anyone for advice they all saying I should chase my dream because I will not know if I am going to succeed unless I try . It is always better to try . Thank you for your respond .

I would really want to but sometime I wonder because I am not the typical lawyer . It will be more challenging because it will be completely new but I will definitely keep considering it and continue to do research .

No I am not a lawyer. I would just add my piece of advice which I was been given today by my sir. You should do what you are interested in. Discover yourself. Find out what entertains you. A thing whose payment doesn't bothers you. If you head somewhere else you will remain in the crowd. Pursuing your interest is something that would help you punch back the world.
