Nice to know that India too is now an international job destination.

I was taken aback to know from a magazine that when youths from India are often accused of going abroad for better jobs, there is a steadily growing number of foreigners heading to India for jobs and business. It is claimed by the said magazine that India is now a very attractive job destination globally and the job seekers cover areas like Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Asian countries. The most sought after jobs cover the automobile, infrastructure and investment sectors. In recognition of the growing number of foreigners living and working in India, foreigner’s registration offices (FROs) in cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin and Thiruvananthapuram have been upgraded to full-fledged offices. Foreigners living or working in India for longer than 6 months have to register with the FROs. The total volume of traffic already registered with the FROs has crossed over 23 lakhs. The economic slowdown in the West is not the only reason for the foreign influx. The salary structure has improved and matches what is offered abroad. Luxurious apartments, malls, five-star hotels, sophisticated health care facilities, reputed schools and colleges and universities of international standard make a life style in India better at a low cost compared to any foreign country. Political stability with an almost ideal atmosphere of democracy is also another factor. So those Indian youths who have been hankering after jobs in foreign countries for making a bright future might feel satisfied in knowing that their motherland is also an attractive job destination for job seekers in foreign countries some of which are even known to be developed countries and not a developing country like ours.

Wow, great! Domestic workers, should be able to fill those jobs, replacing foreign workers. Companies should welcome with domestic workers. Of course, domestic workers must improve skills at least equivalent to the foreign workers.

I think as far as skill is concerned, Indian workers are no less in skill compared to the foreign workers. But as you have said, if still there is some scope of improvement of skill, they must be able to do it learning from those foreign workers. But it is also debatable whether those foreign workers are really more skilled than the Indian workers because in that case, why they are not getting jobs in their own countries where Indians are flocking?

It is oppositely what has been going on in my loving own native land wherein because of poverty, bureaucracy and graft and corruption practices, job opportunity has never improved. The outflow of job seekers to go abroad has never ceased despite tales of misfortune and misadventure.

Time we learnt to give back. They've been bleeding their elderly to give us monies for building motor race courses, and enable us to have cars. Nobody can truely spare monies you know. Everybody has wants and allocations. Instead of utilizing it right way, we sent it away into Swiss bank accounts of politicians, and used the money for luxury categories. We dont deserve those jobs. Truly dont deserve them. Not because our kids are less, but because our politicians are trash.
