going back to school

Is there anyone out there who has decided to return to school later in life? I am 33 and have just made the decision to return to school to further my education in order to hopefully get a better job. My children are 10, 13 and 14 and I realized in discussion with them that I hadn't set the best example for them when they asked if I finished college and I told them no. Yesterday I registered online for classes to further my education and hopefully find a good paying job afterwards. I want my children to go for the best thing possible instead of just settling for what will allow them to just get by. I want them to be able to afford anything they want in life. They are very smart and I want them to use that in order to get the best education they can so they can aspire to do anything they want. Hopefully this will set a good example for them and they will choose to further their education beyond high school. No matter what I am always going to support them in whatever they decide to do.

Education is a never ending process. Each day that oasis by will always teach us things that we can use in life. As in your case, I find it very admirable. I hope I also have the time to go back and learn more. Proceed with your plan and I am sure that your children will be insppired of what you are doing.

Hello friend,First of all i would like to congratulate you for deciding to returning to school back.Let me tell you,i am 36 now and i just finished my Maters study in Administration and i am pursuing my Post Graduate in Mathematics, then i have planned to do my Masters in English as well.Thousands of people are pursuing different courses at a very old age,as remember age is not a bar to gain knowledge and to do further study. Its really a proud & happy moment for me as i could not do it in my early age but able to do it right now.Your decision to further your study and ultimately getting a good job to look after your family is highly praiseworthy. You are really a determined & nice person.Way to go, my dear friend.Go ahead..... Wish you all the best. Thanks & regards....

I think it requires a lot of skills to continue education and to persist it. I think only people with good mind and personality can do it. I think it is always good to continue education and to increase the skills that one has.

I will turn 36 this month and I am also thinking about going back to school. I have a dream about studying psychology and I applied when I was younger, but I didn't get admitted. They were looking for 200 students and more than 2000 people were interested. I am not sure if the situation is the same today, but I would like to apply again and maybe I will get admitted this time. If I don't succeed I would become psychoterapist instead. It is a private education and it is really expensive, but I don't think that it would be impossible to save up the money. I think that is great that you want to go back to school and I don't think that it is too late at all. My cousin has also chosen to go back to school and he is 50. He wants to become a teacher and is taking the education at the moment.

Kudos to you! It requires lot of willpower and eagerness to learn to try to finish the classes you started earlier! You are a wonderful parent, it just shines through your writing... you'd do anything to your kids and want to set a good example to them. They have to be proud of you!
