You should blame your own self for putting the fish with your turtle. If the fish is smaller than the turtle it would definitely gulp it up. I had a Chinese turtle before and it only ate fish good. It was too small to eat fish.

Haa.. that's what I tot before. My turtle just ate plants - especialy leafy vegetables which grow on water (Kangkung, I don't know the English of kangkung :D) I don't know that turtle could eat fish too. So sorry to hear that !

I think water cress is the English for it, though I'm not are and I do hope someone corrects me. Anyway, I always thought turtles are such slow and gentle creatures. Now they eat "Nemo" too it seems lol!

I'm not surprised the turtle ate the fish. Recently, I thought about getting a turtle and don't have one, as we have beautiful Koi Fish and we don't want anything to happen in our pond. We have even put netting over the pond to keep the birds from doing any damage.

Thats a sad story. But not all fish can be in the same tank as others. The next time you buy fish, ask the person if you could put them with your turtle. That way you will never have this problem again. Keep them safe and enjoy your fish.

Your turtle thought you were giving it a treat. Turtles do eat fish in the wild so you might want to give him some to keep him healthy.

Its totally your fault. Mainly turtle eats small fish. You should have known this from whom you have bought that turtle.

you must always separate the turtle from fish since its kind of dangerous and its like keeping fire and sponge closer.so always treat them as they are,so its not good to have a bond with them anytime

An animal is an animal. In the nature, what he did would be regarded as a completely normal thing.I think that you did the best by separating your fishes from your turtle. I hope that you will get over this thing, and have a great day.
