I was very enthusiastic about man going to the moon and impressed with the way Neil Armstrong performed during and after the mission that put the first man on the moon. It was a brave deed. I have been very disappointed that after the series of moon landings that followed were done, no further manned missions have been sent to the moon. It has been a very long time now and in my opinion we should have had a base on the moon by now. The future survival of the human race is dependent on going into to space and we sit here and do nothing to achieve that. We won't have the resources to do it before long if we aren't careful and getting more resources is one of the main reasons to go.

I still remember where I was when they hit on the moon for the first time. I am sorry to hear of his passing but i am sure Neil would agree that he had a full and eventful life. We do need to continue to explore and find out what we can about outer space and what all it has to offer us for our future.

I doubt that man actually went to the moon. How come they haven't been back there yet?

They went several times. Then for various reasons turned to the space station and other space endeavors. In my opinion we should have gone back and established a colony there now in spite of the difficulties in doing that. Instead social issues and other things have taken priority. There is more than enough proof that he moon landings were real.

I remember when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Every one was very excited. t was thrilling seeing it on TV. It is a shame that we have to send our people into outer space with the Russians. I an glad that we are on terms to be able to have them take our people up there. I will be glad when we can get our space program up and running again.

But US is no longer in tension with RUssia, right? i think it's ok. besides there should be coorperation between countries because it's expensive now a days to send some one in Space. well, that huge car size rover is really going to show anything about mars, so i think we are on the next step

Well, Obama shut down the space program. I mean NASA still exists, but we won't be going to the moon again until we get a new President. I am amazed at the things we have today because of the moon landing. Did you know that's how they figured out to make MRI machines? I was not born when man landed on the moon, but would have loved to see it happen.

Hello Stealthy, He will always be remembered, it was a miracle that he was able to reach this age. I was fortunate enough to seen his videos of interviews and the landing of the moon. there had been many conspiracies why we never went back there, some said because they covered up some alien tech secret there or something.
. but true, I've seen the Space exploration going under in terms of sending man into space.

Since I have not watched TV or listened to the radio all day, I did not know about Neil Armstrong passing away. What an awesome life, experiencing going to outer space, being able to look back onto our Earth. I know that he lived with some fond memories.
Do you really believe that the future survival is dependent upon going into space? Care to elaborate??

Some day we might meet our end, huge solar flares, or asteroids would hit us and get killed like the dinosaurs. some day, we may to move out of this planet and look else were out there. if we achieve cheap energy saving and good oxygen recycled and circulation, we might be able to colonize planets. Space is indeed our next step and also our higher chances of survival.
