Do you think Leonard and Penny will get married?

As an huge fan of the Big Bang Theory, I have enjoyed watching the development of every character in the series. To my surprise, everyone has changed so much. The Big Bang Theory's cast has been amazing and always unpredictable with each of their adventures. Since Howard and Bernadette got married for the Season 5 finale, I just wanted to know how other fans of The Big Bang Theory think about the probability of Leonard and Penny tying the knot.

I love the Big Bang Theory! I can be in a terrible mood and I'll catch a rerun from a previous season and before I know it I will be laughing my head off. I think it would be more interesting if something were to happen between Amy and Sheldon.

Yes, it would be more interesting for Amy and Sheldon to move their relationship to the next level; however, I am still unsure whether Sheldon will make a move. It still baffles me that Sheldon is dating Amy. But I would also enjoy seeing Amy and Sheldon's relationship progress even further. Thanks for sharing that idea.

Technically Sheldon isn't "dating" Amy. As Penny said in one episode he doesn't use his girlfriend for what you use a girlfriend for. Did you see the episode where the two first met?

The on again off again relationship between Penny and Leonard is one of the key plot features of the show. I think the only way they would have them get married is if the show was ending and that would be one of the last episodes. But then it was surprising that Howard got married but then they did need to move that character along and have him continue being so annoying when it came to women.

Thanks for your comment, stealthy. Honestly, I seriously expected Penny and Leonard's relationship to move further than Howard's relationship with Bernadette. I hope that Amy and Sheldon's relationship does not progress more than the relationship between Penny and Leonard. It would be hilarious if Sheldon gets married before Leonard.

I think that the two characters, Leonard and Penny, may get married but the writers and producers will keep this for a very big deal on the show. I think that the two characters are very comfortable with their relationship right now and that unless some huge reason comes up for them to marry they may not for a long time to come. Love the show.

I think that if Penny and Leonard got married, it would change the show too much. For now at least, I think it should just be kept the way it is because as somebody has already stated, their relationship is a key part of the show. I do really like that fact that we are starting to see a slightly more 'human' side to Sheldon and that deep down (and I mean REALLY deep down!) he functions and feels just the same as anybody else, even though he will never fully admit it!
