well, looks like i'm getting off to a great start this morning.. I was washing a load of clothes. Was listening for the rinse cycle so i could add some downy. Went in there like a fool & picked up the detergent ]again] & poured it right in.. Can not repeat what i said, lol. Guess that load will be really clean since they have been through the wash cycle twice. Have y'all done anything goofy today like me??

I have in the past, but not today. I am so glad, for your sake, that it was not the bleach. I sprayed oven cleaner on a wooden table once, thinking I had the Pledge in hand.

It was dark wood, but it did bubble it and stain it. The table has traveled and moved so much it has seen better days. I am going to ask my son in law to repair it Since I gave my wood working equipment to them. I redid the finish. It was made of black walnut, I believe.

hi lakota and Antiquelady oh my hubby did a really silly thing one y ear at Christmas. he loved to burn candles so gave him a pretty candle holder and it came with a wooden display candle.,I thought he would of course remove the wooden candle and put in one candle of his choice. i walked in to see him grinning and smelled charred wood,. He said and it became our thing to laugh at between just him and me"oh tis better to light one wooden candle than to cursethe darkness." we laughed about that for a long time.the thing did look real

You are going to have the brightest clothes in the neighborhood. People will have to wear sun glasses just to talk to you, lol! See what happens when you have other things on your mind? The only stupid thing I did today was try to light my e-cig with a lighter..duh. Maybe that's Freudian? I think I spelled that right, haha!

I don't think u talk to much. I enjoy your responses. Thanks for the info on the cigs. If i knew they would stop me from smoking i'd be willing to invest in them. My problem i enjoy smoking & don't really want to quit but know i sure need to.

I totally understand what you're saying. I really did enjoy them too but it seemed between them, wheezing, and high blood pressure it was just time for me to stop. I didn't really know what was the real reason for the wheezing as I do have some allergies and then the BP medicine didn't agree with me either. Whatever it was, I just decided that was it when I couldn't take a walk without almost gasping for air. It just was no fun anymore. If I didn't do that, I'd still be smoking but I guess this is for the best and I'm content.

oh no dear Antiquelady that sure was no good beginning of the day. When my husband got home from work we had to hurry up for the appointment at the hairdresser and I had a quick glance on my shopping list to remember what I wanted to look for in that one better supermarket. Then hubby started to mess up with some stories from work when we entered the store and I checked Item no 1 and item no 2 then I stood there with a blank look on my face saying I dont remember what item no 3 was. Took a walk through that store hoping memory comes back but noooooo. Dont know when I will be there next time to check. of course I looked on my list when I got home and thought oh noooooooo......... Thankfully its nothing really important for the next days so it really can wait.

Well, this morning I found the sugar bowl in the fridge and the creamer on the counter. Does last night count? And I have been known to throw away the (real) silverware along with the paper plate. But not today. That was last week. I must have been distracted last night. And probably last week too.

Today's example: I had to add a strip onto this small quilt I 'm making, as it wasn't wide enough. I sewed it on and wondered why the strip was too long. I then realized that I'd sewed it to the bottom of the q tilt, not the side. Ripped it off and resewed it in the side where it belonged, but it didn't look quite right. I, then, realized I had sewed it upside down (wrong side out). Out came the seam ripper again, and I finally got it sewed on right.

Gee, another member of my club!!! I will also add the fabric softener to the wash cycle instead of adding the laundry soap. I have run the cat through the dryer, had the cat land in the washer during the wash cycle (OOPS! I forgot to close the lid!!!) and will have days where I keep adding soap to the wash cycle until the laundry room is like a huge bubble bath. Oh, then of course when you have kids most anything can happen to the laundry!! I won't even go there....yet.

I HAVE to tell the mixer story. I was around 11 years old when my sibling decided "HE" wanted chocolate chip cookies. I had to ride my bike to the grocery store to buy the chips, come home and make the friggin cookies. I rode the 10 mile round trip to get just the chocolate chips. It was summer so I got home hot, tired, and sweaty (it just struck me, why didn't I just keep going? Home life wasn't that great and I had transportation....man am I STUPID!!!!!). I got the ingredients out and started creaming the butter and sugars together. Everything was going well until....I was pushing the butter and sugar back down in the bowl when the mixer grabbed my fingers. I stood in the kitchen, staring at the mixer in awe and agony! I, when in pain, seem to have my logic circuits go into action but they are just a bit haywire! As the blood was draining from my digits, I pondered the problem and came up with a logical solution. Well at least I thought so, I turned the mixer back on. After all, if the food stuffs go through the mixer than I should go through too. OOOPS!!! There was a HUGE flaw in the logic! I didn't fit!!!! The only thing that happened is that the fingers went from the knuckles just below the nails to the knuckles at the end of the palm. The pain was even worse!!! By then my fingers were feeling about 20 sizes larger than normal and they were turning an interesting shade of blue. OWWWWWW!!! Finally, I realized that I would have to pry my fingers out because mixers don't have a reverse button and this mixer didn't have an eject for the beaters. I got my fingers loose and they had these funny creases in them for about a week. Mom wondered where I got the creases and I told her that I shut my fingers in the bedroom window. So, if any of you out there are wondering what it's like to get your fingers stuck in a mixer, and how to get out of it....first it hurts like crazy and you aren't really happy about it, and don't try to run them through the mixer...your body won't follow naturally. I'm not too sure about the presidency...well, come to think about it with some of the accidents I've had I can truly be the head of the organization. I don't have "normal" accidents, they have to be exotic and unusual. Who wants to be a member of the herd?

Hahaha! That's funny. You have to repeat all over again! Well at least it was detergent and not something else. You know ... I was one time trying to do multitasking. I was washing clothes and cooking lunch at the same time. You know what I did? I poured some soy sauce in the washing machine. I was thankful however that I did not put the detergent in my cooking.

Oh we all have those types of moments my friend. I for one, was shocked when i opened the rice cooker, to see if it's nearly done, discovered that i wasn't able to put the water! No wonder, it was so dry and not cooked yet! Good thing, i was still able to put the correct amount of water and have it still cooked well enough for us to be able to eat it.
