Favorite childhood movie?

I was just watching some of the movies i used to watch as a kid and it just reminded of the my childhood. (Even though, i'm not that old). It's sad that so many of the old movies such as Disney classics are rarely aired on TV anymore. My favorite movie was the Little mermaid. What girl hasn't dream of being a mermaid and exploring the sea together with their fishy friends. Another of my favorites was Lion King because the soundtracks and the story were just so beautiful. So what was your favorite childhood movie? Why?

When i was child i tend to read a lot of books too, i would go for hours on end just reading a book. I think it's because i have a younger brother who loves to annoy me that stopped me from reading all the time. The only time i spent with my brother is when we watch shows together. I think that's the reason i watched so many movies when i was younger. It doesn't matter how old you are, when you first watched the movie. Just as long as you enjoy it. I i=understand not watching a lot of the older classics. I myself just found out about great movies that i missed out as a child and am now watching them.

I am not sure whether you watch Bollywood movies or not. But my favourite childhood movie was Mr.India starring Anil Kapoor and Sri Devi. It is superhero kind of movie in which Anil Kapoor played role of a teacher who takes care of so many orphans. They were then forced to leave their rented home by some smugglers. He then gets a breslate , by which he can get disappread when he wears it. And then he fights evil being disappear . That was a very nice movie

I'm not too old at 27 but a Disney is always a classic no matter when made. My favorite was Casper with Christina Ricci and Devon Sawa. I love it all since I was probably around the same age as Kat in the movie eight the same type of imaginations and sarcasm. Wish a cheesy thing like that movie really could happen. Happy MyLotting!

I do remember TOY STORY - it was launched when I was in the elementary school. At that time I don't really care about the story . lol .. But I love to see the color and the animation in there was awsome at that time . I love watching the new toy story too - it just reminds me my childhood :)

Same here, Toy Story was my favorite. And then of course I never watched Toy Story 2 until I was grown and I even took my own kids to the theater to see Toy Story 3 and I cried like a little baby! Lol. That one is a timeless classic for sure!!

I was actually around 11 or 12 when Toy Story came out, so I was still young enough to like cartoons but not a little kid still lol. I think when I was really little I liked ET (of course), The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan. But heck, even as an adult and if I didn't have kids, I would still watch all the new ones that come out. My husband and I get more excited to take the kids to the movies and watch them then they actually do Lol.

Mine would either have to be Cinderella, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs or Wizard of Oz. There have been a lot of great children's movies made over the yrs. but nothing will compare to some of the old stuff out there. But when I am in a real relaxing mood sometimes putting in a favorite movie like these takes me back and gives me a Great feeling on life as well.

My favorite childhood movie is ET. I just always thought ET was so cute and when I was little I remember wanting to have an ET all of my own. I used to imagine and dream that I could have a cute little alien like that. It would have been so cool lol. My other favorite was Old Yeller I remember watching that for first time at school and I loved that movie.

childhood is really a memorable past that has gone. i love my childhood days with my sister and family. we both loved watching a movie called little soldiers in our language and baby s day out and watching tom n jerry shows or movies like the jaws or al d mummy return parts was a great fun. we really enjoy it. we talk about it with friends discuss and create a big ground on school the day we watched the movie. and even now me and my sister call each other when we recall such moments or heard that any of our favrt movies are being played on the tv. i really miss my childhood nd miss my sibling and my parents and the days we were together watching movies , playing etc..

Childhood .Hmmm ...For some may be a very happy moment ,but for me it isn`t so happy. For me childhood was just like a moment of sadness. But it still were some moments that i`ll never forget .It`s a magic part of life that just throws you to the bitter life with or without help .My favourite movies when i was a child were cinderela , little marmaid -- I enjoyed so much that movie that even i found the new versions of it watched them all ,Tom and Jerry , Timon and Pumba that`s a recent one but i still laugh when i see the things` they do togeter` :) .

As a child, I did enjoy watching Disney films. The two movies that come to mind are Lion King and Aladdin. I enjoyed Lion King because of the gripping story of Simba's guilt believing he was reason his father was killed, which made him leave the Pride Lands. The movie embellished the idea of facing your problems with Simba going back to the Pride Lands after experiencing an epiphany through a vision of his deceased father. With Aladdin, I mostly enjoyed the performance of Robin Williams who played the voice of Genie; he was very funny. Overall, Disney was such a monumental part of my childhood development because of the moral lessons integrated in the films.

Lion King, forever. :) I just really loved the bright colors and the overall silliness of it all. I have a lot of the lines memorized by heart and still break into song randomly in my 20s.

I also loved the art in lion king and the music was just wonderful. Finally i meet someone like me who also randomly sings songs whever i go. Some people call my crazy but that's just the way i am and i don't care what they think.

When I was a child, I was in love with The Sound of the Music. And if we are also talking about serial I was addicted to Kommissar Rex. I still love to watch these movies. And I must add that in my childhood I discovered anime. I was crazy about Sailor Moon. Those are happy times.
