What was the primary reason for your facebook account?

My question is that what was the basic reason or basic need that brought to you on this facebook. Now we use facebook for many things ... but we created it for many reasons but we created it for one reason. I will say my reason. I live far away from all my relatives and to connect to them I created my account.

I made my face book account some three years back. I am not very much engaged in internet but heard about it through my friends. I made my account primarily for meeting my older friends from whom I got separated somewhere in past. As I have shifted a few times to new places along with my family, I used to loose contacts of my friends. I am very thankful to face book that I could get into contact with them.

matching reasons. My reason is also same. My father got transferred to faraway place and hence created my account for connecting to relatives.

Face book is actually meant to be in contact with all your acquaintances no matter how far they are. But as we see now face book has become a routine in every teen's life who does nothing but chatting. It would be interesting to see if some one can spread an idea amongst them which could change their approach towards face book.

for me i created it to be charting with old friends such as class mates and also family members and also make new friends on the globe and to also learn new things in my life.

i think basic reason for us is we created something that happens around us, and we show that to people care about us, and they know what happening , even we got much time have not stay together, but we dont feel lonely.

I originally started a facebook account to get in touch and find old friends from elementary school high school and college. I now use it for all sorts of things it is very useful in keeping up with family or with my sons youth sports schedule and pictures it has grown so much over the last 5-6 years.
