I have quite a busy life, mostly around the home doing jobs that are necessary but not creative in any way. So I formed the habit of taking a coffee break in front of my computer. My escape from the humdrum was to play games. I enjoyed it up to a point, but fear that I either have an addictive personality, I lack discipline or I just like to compete!
Then I read about myLot, so I thought I'd try it and now I am hooked. My coffee breaks are a little more frequent but I am sure that I waste less time because I communicate with people far away, different cultures and interests. Some of which I can share. Also, and this is important, I can make a little money while I do it. I'm too new to know if this will become a little more money with time, but who cares? I love myLot!

Hi 41CombedaleRoad. I used to play Facebook games when I'm bored. I get addicted to these games easily. I would spend hours playing FB games, and I'll feel guilty for wasting my time afterwards. When I learned about myLot, I was really happy because I visit the site when I'm bored instead of playing games. I feel much more productive for spending my time here than on Facebook.:)

Hi,cheerfulnuts, I see we are kindred spirits. I think Facebook is a waste of time, it is full of comments from friends of friends, and even the comments of friends are out of context and beyond understanding. I actually feel lonely when I visit Facebook and that is not the effect social network site aims for.

Thank you for starting a nice discussion. Mylot is a great place to escape from daily busy life and to get distracted from all the monotonous daily engagements. I love this place because I can interact with people from around the globe and learn a lot of things to enrich my realm of knowledge.

I prefer MyLot over any other things I can do on the computer. Many people make more money than I do on the lot, but I probably enjoy it as much or more than many others. I imagine your earnings will increase as time goes on and there is certainly no limit to the people you meet, and befriend and learn from here.

I come on here, as I hardly see anyone anymore, as I am stuck at home and can not get out and about like I did a few years ago.
It is great to get on here and have a chat to other people about lots of different things and it breaks the day up for me as well.
I also play games on the pc, but I am not that great at any of them.

Ah, so you are addicted to myLot now! Hee hee. I am a stay at home mom - and I can only on the computer "when I can" - there is no set time, nor set amount of time. Before myLot, I was addicted to a few other computer activities, but those habits have been dropped . . . I don't see me leaving myLot for a long time! This is a place where I can communicate with the world - about anything that's on my mind - and they will communicate with me . . . how cool is that? And the earnings - yes - it's nice - but definitely secondary. Enjoy myLot and enjoy some more!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of mylot. Trust me, this is better than any other games out there. When I started mylot, I have forgotten facebook and harvesting my plants on farmville, etc.
This is one addiction that's pretty useful and productive too. We learn a lot of things here, including other country's culture, meet friends and at the same time earn a few bucks. Your addiction will be compensated! So be happily addicted to mylot!
