How would you spend one month in Asia?

Some time ago I started a discussion about the places you would visit in Europe if you had an interrail pass for one month. This time I would like to ask the same question about Asia. In Asia there is no interrail pass like the one in Europe, but if you had the chance to travel around in Asia for one month which countries would you choose to visit and what kind of transportation would you use? Would you fly from place to place? Would you use the local busses, trains or ferries? I could think of several interesting ways to spend one month in Asia. For instance Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam or Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia or the Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong or Japan and South Korea or one month in India or one month in China. I think that every single option could be a very interesting way to spend a month in Asia, and I hope that I will be able to visit all of those countries one day.

When I have the time and money to spend a full month in Asia, I'd love to go to Singapore, China, Japan. Maybe I will use the aircraft to fly to reach these countries, and in every country I would spend 10 days, walking paths using the typical means of transportation. When I was in the states I would like to know about the history because I think it is very interesting to learn about the history.

I think Singapore, China and Japan would be interesting places to visit, and it would be very nice to spend 10 days in each country and get the chance to visit some of the sights and other interesting places during that time. I am interested in history, too and I like to visit historical places when I travel in another country. I am going to visit Cambodia soon and I look forward to learning more about the history of Cambodia. I am going to visit Angkor Wat and maybe Killng fields as well.

I am from the Philippines and haven't traveled all around Asia. I only visited Singapore and Malaysia for a short time. If given the chance, I want to spend one month per place. One month to travel the whole Asia is not enough

No, one month wouldn't be enough to visit all of Asia and if we had only month we would have to pick out some places and skip other places. I think that it would be a very, very difficult task to choose a few places and I really like your idea of spending one month per place, because they would give us the chance to explore that place and get to know the culture better. I will probably never be able to afford one month at each place, but it would be the ideal situation.

I would string together a number of flights to see as much of Asia as possible plus use local trains, buses and ferries. First of all I would fly from London to Delhi where I would take the train to Agra. That is the place I would be able to view the Taj Mahal. Next I would fly to see the beaches south of Goa going towards Kerala. I would fly over to Sri Lanka where I would spend five days seeing the tooth temple and the beaches. Next I would fly to Thailand and spend four nights seeing the sights of Bangkok. It would be so lovely to go island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines then. I would spend ten days there. On my way back home I would spend my last few days in Dubai. I could go shopping and have a sand trip. So my trip would be India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates for me in one month.

That sounds like a really interesting trip. A trip to India that has always been one of my big dreams. I actually think about starting my trip the same way. I think that it would be easy to find a flight from Europe to Delhi and from Delhi to Agra I would go by train, because it not that far from Delhi. I would love to see the Taj Mahal. Afterwards I would travel from Agra to Chennai where my friend lives. He has invited me many years ago and I haven't the chance to visit him yet. I would like to explore Goa and Kerala as well and I would visit Mumbai. I think that there are a lot of things to see in Bangkok. I am going to spend 5 days in Bangkok in November and during those days I have planned a daytrip to Ayutthaya. Island hopping in the Philippines would be amazing. I hope to visit some of the places that I have heard about for instance Boracay, Bohol and Cebu.
