Cause she is cleaning up her clothes hoarding habit abit. I'm glad about it, I'm only keeping a few or so that I might be able to wear myself, then going to list the rest (except the ones that are too worn to list) on a auction site. I wish the brother would go through his stuff now and get rid of some of it little by little. If she would only mention it to him maybe he would try to do it but she won't.

We clean the house every spring season at the holiday called "pesah" or passover.
I take all of my clothes out of my closet , I see what I still need from them and the rest I just put in a nylon bag and put it on the street , near a garbage can.
People come and take them , some need them for clothes , some need the materials to fix other things. I consider maybe giving my old clothes to someone who uses textile to make clothes or to fix clothes.

Yes you can still use old clothes to fix other clothes or even to sew into pillows and crafts. I have done that before. I don't celebrate passover though, so it's any day of the year for us to do this. It's good you do that so that other people can find new clothes, very generous.

hey it is great to hear about the clothes that your mother shared with you. You must be feeling good to see her clothes that she used to don in her days.
What say?

Well, I mostly just took the tank tops that are loose fitting. They are slightly worn but still have a few more years of use on them. I have alot of tight fitting clothes that I don't care for anymore due to getting older. I might get rid of alot of those this winter.

My sister gives our mom some clothes and my mom gives some clothes to my sister and they use them. That's the way is it.
If the mother and the daughter are good friends and they have some clothes that fit to each other , why not share ?

Good for your mom and you, huh? Does your brother have the hoarding problem also? I have saved some stuff I will probably never wear because I like the style and don't want to give it up. Maybe you can make a deal with the brother to get some things sorted out and gotten rid of.

Yea the two of them do, and also my dad but he usually tries to sell some of his stuff off when possible. I almost got my mom to ask him to start doing something with the piles of stuff in the hallway upstairs along the wall, she actually didn't get mad at me when I suggested it this time. This was when she was talking about herself and how she used to be bad with buying knick knacks at garage sales, etc. Then I brought the subject of my brother up briefly. I should have then said well just ask him to do it one day but I didn't think of it at the time. At least she agreed with me in a normal way about it. Now I think she'd get made again next time if I told her, she is a touchy person with some things.

My mother and I do the same. We exchange clothes sine we almost have the same body size. And I like some of her clothes. The fashion trend before was not that bad after all. I can use the old printed blouses and pair it with denim shorts and I think it looks great. While on the other hand, my mom borrows some of my bright colored shirts and wear them at the mall. We can even play like sisters sometimes and we are enjoying it.
