Morning coffee can stop pain from sitting hours at work

I am giving an idea to be able to do mylotting for more hours. yes. studies have revealed a cup of coffee in the morning helps one not to get the usual pains associated with sitting hours of work. A study was conducted at the University of Oslo have come out with this observation-- take morning coffee -- this will help one not to get pains associated with continuous work before computers in a sitting posture for say 2 or 3 hours continuously. So drink coffee and sit before computer and do mylotting for 2 hours in the morning. Then in the evening again take coffee and sit for longer hours. enjoy mylotting and earn more. I know some of us may say caffeine is bad. I remember to have read some where else that caffeine is good for heart patients also when taken in small quantities. Of course research studies go on telling one after the other--whatever it may be I enjoy coffee once in the morning and again say in the afternoon. source:http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/science/Morning-coffee-can-stop-pain-from-long-sitting-hours-at-work/articleshow/16279914.cms (not a referral) Do you believe it is right inference in the studies or you think it is a made up one. I am convinced of its result.

hello ravi, I'm a certified coffee addict. I love coffee a lot. Coffee is a good anti-oxidant but should/must be taken without sugar and creamer. But, I admit that "chai" is much better

I can say that yes. Back year ago when I am still working in a call center. Sitting in front the computer for 7 hours while drinking brewed coffee, I can say that I never had any back pain, or any pain while sitting. Thu, I am not sitting all the time for the whole shift. But I guess, coffee does help and works indeed.

But then again, brewed coffee alone works better, no sugar, no creamer.

Hey thanks a ton for sharing such an informative post. Well i have never tried tea or coffee but i have heard people saying that a cup of coffee or tea gives a lot of relaxation and relief in the morning that subsequently helps them stay fresh throughout the day. but the coffee intake should be less. What say?

subhojit you must also be from India. nice. yes, younger generation many of you do not drink tea or coffee but drink more of pepsi, coca cola etc. I do not know about you. if you are staying as a bachelor you may have problem in making coffee or tea. I really enjoy morning coffee--here in canada it is instant Bru coffee - while staying in chennai i take filter coffee --of course milk and coffee and not coffee only. Westerners normally they drink coffee only without milk.

I don't know if this is true but as for me its my morning habit, drinking a cup of coffee and then sit on my computer. My body aches specially my buttocks for long sitting in front of the computer. That's why from time to time I make sure that I stand and move. In the afternoon I took another cup again, I do This as my habit and I don't think it has a to do with the pain.

lampar: Good you have understood the discussion and posted rightly. The study says so. those who are used to coffee can subscribe or say no to the results. you are going to try it. that is nice.

Good morning ravisivan. I think that any more reason to enjoy that cup of coffee in the morning is a good reason! I am not realy sure as to how it does that, I didnt look into the study as I am just quick all over the place in my house doing things. But maybe its attribited to one not slouching from being tired. The caffein maybe gives you more energy?

I am happy to see that you agree with me on the energy thing. I drink my coffee black, finally. I had a hard time cutting out the sugar more that the creamer. I actualy like my coffee better because I can really taste the coffee. The milk was becoming to thick for me. And took away the flavor. I drink a cup of coffee most mornings at home,or occasionally I will go to the coffee shop and treat myself with a cappachino occasionally. Or a Latte. I also drink tea. But its flavored tea, my favorite it jasmine tea. When I am stressed I drink Chamomile tea with mint. All of these I drink without sugar. In the summer I drink a lot of iced tea and thats just regular tea. I dont sweeten them either. I will however, put two lemons in them.

hatley aunty: yes. you are able to study, grasp the contents and post most relevant response. that is really good of hately aunty. I drink two times a day here. while staying in chennai I use to drink 3 or 4 times a day. So aunty also is agreeing with the study.

I actually don't think that you made this up. The reason that I feel this way is because of the fact that the pain reliever that I use that tends to go the furthest toward helping me with my pain is actually a mix of acetominiphen and caffeine. I can take just plain tylenol and it will help to a certain extent, but when I take Excedrin, it tends to work a whole lot better than the other medication. Thus, there must be some relationship between caffeine and pain relief.

I did not make it. It was result of a study made in London. of course personally i support the view because I am using coffee --drinking coffee every day minimum two times and it really activates my energy, reasoning ability.

yes. surekha; in your case it is tea. but this study speaks about effect of morning coffee on people sitting and working before computer throughout the day. But what you say is also true because many people have told me so earlier - tea also contains coffee. when i made a search I came across this page: http://www.choiceorganicteas.com/caffeineintea.php

prashu: normally ooffee or tea is taken to relieve head ache. for you -- you get head ache when you drink coffee or tea. it is strange. yes the study will help people to depend on coffee instead of pain killers to relieve them of pains.

coffee makes my day - refreshing
Aow, thanks for that helpful information. Coffee, indeed, is so refreshing to me. It make me awake for several hours and helps me think better. Several researches of coffee are so beneficial that people tend to forget the good things on this product even for a little consumption. Thanks.

If the research was valid through observations, then it will be a great relief for experiencing low back pain. Of course, we can use decaffeinated drinks as an alternative for coffees.

iola Decaffeinated drinks may not help,. One should a cup of hot coffee with or without milk and enjoy. If one is younger then he can take with sugar. elders if they have fear about diabetic then they can take without sugar also. I normally take coffee without sugar in the mornings.

Hi Ravi, My preference is tea and I think it is because of the practice I have. Earlier (from childhood to upto the age 20) I took coffee as we got coffe plants at home and my mom used to use those coffee seeds which we get from our own plants). Even we used to sell (80-100 kg) in an year. And there was a coffee powder manufacturing unit near our town and we had a shop near to it. As I have witenessed the process of making coffee at their plant and the smell of the coffee for a long log time and many days made me a state of fed-up situation with coffee and then I stopped drinking the cofee. And another 8-10 year I stopped drinking coffee & tee for a change. The day I moved out for a job in the city, I started drinking tea which feel better, than the coffee. Any way, for the last 10-15 days, I use the coffee and this is also for a chage only. By-the-by, don't you mind to have a coffee with me, I just bought for me as it is my normal time to have it - 2:30, after the lunch. Regards

Well, maybe I did not hit that stage of getting pain from sitting down at the computer yet. But I do drink coffee in the morning and I also have coffee in the evening. So maybe I don't get any pain because I do that. I sit at my computer doing many sites for many hours. But it is always a good idea to get up and walk around anyway. We do have to move the blood around.

Hi Sivan, I think that to drink a cup of coffee in the morning while you are doing your job is very pleasant. I read that the intake of coffee has increased and much more people are drinking it. Further they say that coffee has a lot of good properties for keeping healthy. I know that in America and Europe coffee is very appreciated. In fact in my country the consumption of coffe has increased and also the quality which has become much better.
