Poor girl's gonna have a complex...

After the twins' birthday party yesterday, Cary went to sleep over at a friend's house, and Naomi had her girlfriends over to my place. Around 7:00 it started. "Mom, can they sleep over." (eye roll) Ok, fine. So they all start calling their parents, and 3 girls are allowed to stay.
R came over after the party to anchor my book cases so that I can finally finish unpacking. He wasn't quite done when the boyfriend came over. R finished up and left, and then Tony went downstairs and asked the kids if they wanted to watch Avengers.
Miss Picky Dearra said she'd wait for the blue-ray with all the extras. We went upstairs, and then Tony went back downstairs to ask Naomi if SHE wanted to watch it since she's the birthday girl. That's when her friend Sam (Samantha) asked, "who are you?"
Tony decides to be funny, makes a creepy face, and says, "I'm the one who's going to murder you all in your sleep." Sam lets out a shriek, and Dearra says, "relax, it's mom's boyfriend."
Tony comes upstairs and says "now she's going to be afraid of black people."
Bad, bad Tony. We were laughing so hard about it with the girls this morning. Yikes...

I wonder if Tony wishes he hadn't said that now. Mom's boyfriend sounds like quite the card. That must be nice for a change. R seems like a TA. Maybe that's just my opinion and how I have read him through your writings here. Some kids can be so picky and funny about stuff.

Giggles, Your man Tony sounds great with the kids. Yeeks..I'm surprised R took Tony being there so easy since he was so hard to shake loose. But glad life is straightening out and going so well.

Wrong in so many levels!
But I hope she took it for what it is. And I hope that instead of a complex, she takes it to the opposite end that, and realize that some people can really be so funny.
Unless of course their name is Jason, or Freddie, or even Chuckie!

I think that Tony said something very scary to Samantha asked who he was. It was great that Dearra said he is her mom's boyfriend. It was bad when Tony said that now she's going to be afraid of black people. I must have been a lovely birthday for Cary and Naomi. It must have been so funny the next morning after Naomi's sleepover laughing about all that had happened.

I don't think she'll be afraid. She was laughing about it this morning. But he probably shouldn't have said it.

I wonder if Sam was "pretending" when she shrieked. Because if I was convinced someone was dangerous, I wouldn't shriek, I would probably still there quickly, planning my escape..

Oh, so very wrong... but funny.
Your boyfriend sounds like he would fit in well with my group of friends.
My ex-boyfriend was always too uptight about race and religion.
Thankfully, my current boyfriend isn't.
