I have to get my 4 year driver's license renewed this month, I knew this was coming and I dreaded it. Being semi-agoraphobic and all it makes me wanna not go. But I have to, not that I even use it. I don't drive but for ID purposes I need it. I might go to the other place I went to last time, it seemed to be set up better than the one closer by. I think we have to take our picture with straight face instead of smile if I remember right. Oh well, thats not the worst of my worries though. I just don't feel like going. It cost $24. for it. I have to find 6 points worth of ID too first and I hope I have it all. How many years go by before you have to renew yours? Do you like going?

Yours is cheap. I go every 5 years on my birthday. It has worked out well for me because this year I'll be 60 and my birthday is next month. It's $162 for the 5 years but if I have no points loss and that means no infringements then I can get it for half price...and I've been good. It also means a new photo each time so I make sure my hair and makeup are nice. I don't mind going because it's always a birthday event and they are milestone birthdays each time too.

60? You don't look a day over 59! I thought everything over is Oz was just like here in dear old blighty? Obviously not. P.S. NailTech never bothers replying so if I am not doing anything else, I am at least giving you one. A response I mean.

Yeah, I got it. Thanks Orson. It's a bit too early Sunday morning to be thinking along those lines and I've missed the comparison to old blighty and Oz...that bit I didn't get.

I have to get my drivers licence renewed end of July next year, as well as my health card. My passport expired this year, which I have a year to get it done or renew after the expiry date so I better get on it. It costs $75.00 here to renew your drivers licence. I knwo the one close to my town is always packed busy, so I drive a little further to the quieter one. You have to have a straight face, and no glasses so I look so bad because I cant see without my glasses so Im always have this confused look on my face.

I have to renew my drivers licenese soon too I think mine is due next year on my birthday go figure lol. It also cost alot here to have it renewed but atleast we only have to do it for a certain period of time and not like every 2 or 3 yrs so can't complain. I just hope my picture this time turns out better then the last one and I have changed alot since my last photo on my license.

In Florida we can renew our driver's license every 6 years if we are a good driver. If we are not a safe driver and gotten lots of tickets, then we have to renew it every 4 years. Luckily we can renew our driver's license online or by mail if we are eligible, so we don't have to go to the DMV. Only thing I hate is that it cost $48 to renew our driver's license.

Are you talking about a provisional licence? Here in the UK our full licence is valid until we reach the age of 70 and then you have to reapply every 3 years. We do have to renew if we change names or address, but otherwise we are good until 70. P.S. I've just been, but I might have to go again soon as that coffee goes straight thru me.

I don't like going to renew driving license as well. I have both license for motorbike and car. But I don't really drive much. I always renew my licenses for three years. Currently, I still have about two more years to go until my licenses expires. So don't have to think about it right now. The cost of license varies depending on the type of transport.

I have to go every four years, but it only costs me 21 dollars to renew it (Only!). My sister who now lives in Oklahoma like I do, moved to Missouri for a couple of years. And they only had to renew their license every six years. I would much prefer that.

I'm in the same boat. My license just expired on my birthday last Saturday. I don't have a car but I do drive for an elderly lady from my church at least once a month to go to the next town over and do the big shop. And, like you, my driver's license is my i.d. When i renewed it 5 years ago, it cost me $35 to do it. I went in to renew it on Monday and found out that it is now $75 (which i don't have). My phone is also down because i need to pay my phone bill. So now I'm trying to figure out whether I should pay my phone off or renew my license this month. I only have enough in my budget to do one or the other this month. Whichever one I put off will be done next month.

I don't remember how many years until I have to renew my license. I haven't had to yet, so I guess it may be coming up. I don't like going to the DMV because it is always so packed. Well, I found a smaller one that is less busy, so that's good, but it's still a long wait and it sucks. It sucks that you are agoraphobic. I have social anxiety and GAD, so I know how it can feel to have to go somewhere, but it is good to be forced to go out because the more that you don't, the worse it gets. What does it mean that you have to find 6 points worth of ID? Different forms of ID like birth certificate and stuff like that?

In our place, we have to renew the driver's license every 3 years. On or before our birthday. Although I don't have my own because until now my dream car is still at the store, he he, but my husband has his driver's license. If that is the same in your place, then, Happy Birthday!
