I really appreciate all the gifts that we received on our wedding. But to be honest, I will prefer to just receive cash lol! On top of being practical, we get to buy those that we really need and those that will really fit in in our house motif. For example, we received 3 sets of rice cookers. I mean, how on earth are we going to use all 3? And we also received some dinner plates, but they clash with the neutral colors of the ones that we want to use.

yes, almost everyone like cash who would say no, maybe only those well to do would refuse if they have enough. But with this recession, even a penny helps. so it is just practical even for some couple who are planning to get married to ask a special request for their visitor to give cash as a gift since they could use it to begin there life. the cash generate would help them to buy the thing there need in their house but it should not be obligatory and those who are willing could give it as a gift voluntarily.

Two of the greatest gifts I had received when I got married a little over 5 years ago are the family history book and also a great book of family recipes. The reasons why I cherish both of these gifts is because I can pass these on to my children and it can keep on getting passed down from generation to generation. I did get money as well and that went into our savings account so we can eventually buy a house.

It seems that people prefer to receive cash now over material things. And i think too that cash is more practical. They could use this to buy things they really need or help in their plans for starting a new family.

very true even i were going to get married in the future i could even specify it as per special request by the couple instead of settling for material gifts. money could be very useful as added to there finances where they could spend it n a more useful way to begin a happy married life. they could use the money from the gifts gather from friends and add it in there savings.

Best gift is cash i think, so that the person can utilize to buy things of his/her choice; at times we give articles; but it may so happen; he /she gets so many of it.. Thanks for sharing

hi there! If I were to receive a gift, I would like to have a set of utensils for my kitchen. I love to cook. If I were to give a gift, I would just like to ask the couple what things would they need for their home. God bless!
