More than police Brutality... This is just awful

It all happened few weeks ago when a pregnant lady and her sister step out of a bus. They were arriving from their shopping at the capital. As they stepped off, indecent language flooded their mouths, but to my understanding, they were only cursing that someone stole their phone while shopping. They were mad upset, and you could hear it in their aggressive voice and tone. The police came along warning the pregnant lady and her sister to stop the explicit language, but they continued ranting. The police started to get unstable. (My mother told me he was a well known police, and was actually respected by many.) After a few attempts to calm the ladies down with no success he decided to arrest them. They both refused to be arrested. They weren't complying at all. It happened so quickly. The police took out a gun and shot the pregnant lady, followed by her sister. The sister survived but the pregnant lady, it's too sad to say. This isn't the first time a police has managed to kill a pregnant lady in my area. A few years back there were some police trying to break up some protesters. They were protesting about our road conditions and things like that. Police came along. One burst a warning shot, and unfortunately that one single shot land through the chest of a pregnant lady. They claimed it was a warning shot, but I would expect a warning shot to be fired vertically not horizontally. I have heard about the saying what goes up must comes down but i think it's unlikely that a shot fired straight into the sky would have killed her. *Sorry for not being so active on mylot as before. I have been so busy with school studying, so most times I do not have any free time. Sorry again*

It is very sad to hear of this occurence. I think that police are also called 'peace officers' and they do have a job to do. It sounds like these women got way out of control. A policeman is taught to do certain things to get things back in control.

I would think so too. But wasn't he by himself. Just the one cop. That may have had something to do with it.

Actually no he wasn't he was with like a neophyte cop, so I guess he stilled had to take responsibilities into his own hands.

I was absolutly shocked with your post. I can understand that a policeman can ask the ladies to lower their voices; I can understand if he would have asked them why were they behaving like that. To arrest someone for foul language is too much, I think, although I don´t like that kind of language. But to shoot someone for that!!! I´d take that policeman to spend the rest of his sorry life in jail.

Yes, it is really sad, and I do think that is where he is heading. Everybody in my area is awaiting to hear what will happen to him, but even so, I do feel sorry for him. One small mistake can make your entire life miserable. It only takes a second to mess up your life, and eternity to fix it.

hi renhard oh my God thats just dreadful. to shoot someone over stupid arguing as they were not vile criminals just two women having a cat fight. better to have just let them spend a few hours in the slammer to cool them off. thats cold blooded murder and I hope he goes to jail for killing that woman.

You know the two ladies weren't fighting each other though. They were on the same side, both upset because crooks stole the pregnant lady's phone while shopping. I guess they were ranting but I have to degree, the situation could have been handled much better than how it was handled by the cops.
