Mahatma Gandhi once said, "be the change you want to see in the world."

I heard this popular quote before and it seems like a very wise thing to say. As I understood it, it means that the change should start within us before we see some changes in the outside world. My question now is, what are some of the changes you want to see in yourself and how do you see the outside world changing when you successfully do so?

Mahatma Gandhi was a great person who spoke and handled with wisdom and gave the personal sample for this sentence. He wanted India to become free, a big change, so he lived for his dream to get the change realized.
That's right, the change has to start inside of us or things never will change, not on the way we want.
I wanted to change my economical situation, so I emigrated to another place starting a new life. Now this situation is becoming much better than it was a year ago.
What change did you do?

Congratulations to the new change you have successfully adopted in your life, camomile. Concerning your question of what change I did, it should be finding greater peace within myself which led to finding more peace in my outside world.
There were moments in my life when I felt troubled due to some difficult circumstances and trials in my life which gives me little peace, but when I conquered those troubled thoughts and emotions, I find that my outside world also becomes more peaceful, my relationships becomes better and most of all I find happiness within myself once again :)

Well thank you for sharing such a great thought said by a great person.
Yes we need to be the change agents if we all wanted to see some changes inside us and in the society. Unless and until we do not take the initiatives, there will be no changes at all. Well i would like to groom my personality more so as to be compatible with the people around me. This will help me to gel properly with them.
What say?

Yes, I agree with what you said. Many people always look at other people and comment that these people needed to change some things and I would like to say that it would be better for us to look at ourselves more and see what we need to change and improve about ourselves, then when we do the world around us would seem to improve more as we improve ourselves more.
