What would be the impact in the existing political field in India if Miss Mamata Banerjee, the Supreme authority in Trinomool Congress, withdraws supports from the UPA government? Do you think that she would really do so? Do you support this extreme move of Miss Mamata Banerjee? Do you think that the Prime Minister, Mr Manmohan Singh, would ultimately yield to the pressure of Miss Mamata Banerjee or he would firmly stick to his decision of carrying out the necessary reforms or he would come to terms with her by curtailing the reformatory measures to some extent to give an end to the political turmoil thus created?

hello, I am not agree with stands of Mamata Banerjee. India is not only Bangal. Mulayam singh, Mayawati and all other one man parties leader are not politcians. these are trader. It is believe that Manmohan singh will carryon reforms with some amendments. No hope of completely roll back. It is in interest of country. Farmers of India is in favour of DFI in retail secotr.

I agree fully with your views on FDI and hope Manmohan Singh would stick to continue the reforms. But at the same I would appeal to him to reconsider the hike in diesel price or at least to minimize it from the proposed hike of Rs 5 per litre. I support the proposal to restrict the number of subsidized LPG cylinders supply to the customers, though it would be better if the number of members in the family is made into consideration for the purpose.

I am agree with you. Every thing have some benefits. It is not possible that every thing is suitable to every one. Regarding hike in diesel price and LPG so remember later or sooner public should be bear it.

Public will have to bear it as they are compelled to do so. But they will definitely return back their grievances on the ballot papers.

Trinomool has already withdrawn support from the UPA government. Now it is to see what political stand Mamata Banerjee takes in the next Parliamentsry election in 2014; she would have to join hands either with the Congress or the BJP.

I think she would find no other way than to join hands with the Congress party.

The Bengal CM is a street fighter and has this reputation ever since she entered politics. She only knows one way and that is - to attack. Upto now she has had her way with the ruling party at the Center aquiesing to her demands since she had a large number of MP`s in Parliament and 2 ministers in the Union cabinet. Now she has formally withdrawn support to the govt and will be conveying this to the President. This time the PM has acted firmly and has not given in to her demands that`s why she has taken this decision. Now the central govt should go ahead with the economic reforms not withstanding the opposition from various quarters of the country.Mamata was expecting a conciliatory call from the PM which did not come, which was the right thing to do. So she has been forced to withdraw support to the govt.

I think all political leaders in India should be called for dinner and given the best possible food. After serving dessert, they should all be made to strip and walk in public..and the process should be continued for one month so that they dare not appear before public anymore. I call the process Last Supper of Indian Politicians. What do you think? lol. That is high hope of course. More seriously..UPA is safe. There are others in the parliament who want the FDI, and even though difficult decision, LPG and Diesel will have to suffer. Better that the Congress faces the music than BJP would be the thought of BJP. A few BJP members would actually vote in favor of the Congress move notwithstanding the fact that they are in opposition. And what's it with people? Cant they realize they are offered free lunches only for votes and power to do things like Coalgate? Time we learnt to say no to free lunches and time we learnt to accept the diesel costs. If we breed excessively, we should be willing to live at lower standards of living. None of the governments have gone hammer and tongs at family sizes fearing backlash from fanatics. So we've voted for such governments, we have to accept the repercussions. As to elections..it would indeed be very irresponsible if a government is not allowed to complete its term. Not that I am for this government. I am for saving us the election costs. Our democracy has no value anyway. The least we can do is save taxpayer some monies.

I fully agree with your views. The government will not fall as it will get support from Mulayam as well as Mayabati. Mulayam will continue his politics of blackmailing government in lieu of his support; he will try to catch fish in troubled waters. I believe BJP is also in favour of FDI. Whatever opposition is coming from BJP is totally political, it is an opposition for the sake of opposition and nothing else. I think BJP is rather cheerful as this unpleasant action has been taken by Congress and so if they ever come in power, they do not need to do it anymore. The one thing which I think should be reconsidered is the hike in price of diesel, though I know people will soon be able to bear it as they are always habituated to do so.

I think it is a battle of nerves. They are bargaining with each other, obviously, it is a political bargain.
