Do you think Social Sites Reduced the Get Together activities?

Previously old friends arrange the get together gatherings in a yearly or monthly basis and every time they will gather in a place on the same day and time to know about each other. But now a days most of the friends are interested in meeting social sites like Facebook and other sites for this kind of get together and don't have enough time to meet by person.
Now a days most of the people are interested in this kind of get together via online site and arrange for a group chat and video conferencing with their friends to know about each other. People are very trendy now a days and not interested in meeting by person even they have enough time, they are interested in meeting via online to save the time and money, but this kind of virtual meetings don't give the same fun and enjoyment of real meetings.
Till today some people are interested in real get together, even they are enjoying this kind of virtual things, but the count of the persons are gradually reducing in day by day manner and most of the modern youngsters are interested in virtual meetings, i think this kind of virtual meetings reduced the real get together a lot. Do you agree with me?

In my part NO cause social networking sites brought me a lot of Meet ups
About my friend or should I say real friends even how busy we are we try harder to find a way to see each other

absolutely, i agree with you. Our activities is based on our interest, if we are interested in meeting a person, surely we will allocate some time for our meeting

Unfortunately, according to studies it does. Many people are content to talk to people on the computer yet never go out and meet with their friends.

Before the internet face-to-face meetings were the only option and today we are able to communicate on the internet instead of meeting in person. I think that is both good and bad. Online meetings are great when people live far away from eachother and don't have the chance to meet in person, but if it reduces the time that people spend together in the real world it is not only a good thing. In many cases that online communication have replaced face-to-face communication and that development will continue in the future I think. Fortunately offline and online meetings can be combined and many people meet their online friends in real life. I have met several online friends already and I plan on meeting more friend in the future.
