greetings to all of you guys,is it connected or not, that disobeying someone is also a betraying someone too? for example your mother dont want you to go out in the evening because its so late but you still disobey your mother and you still go out, does it mean you also betray your mother on her decision for you?can we consider that disobeying is also betraying?why?

Oh yes, For sure. When you disobey someone of authority especially someone who loves you and only wants what is best for you and you disregard what they say and do it anyways then yes it is betrayal. It is betraying their trust and betraying what they believe is best and safest for you.

I don't see them as the same. Disobeying is just what it is. And after all, I have been there and done that. I needed to go out and hang with my friends when I was younger and have a good time. Sometimes parents just don't understand or don't remember when they were young. It is not a betrayal. To betray would be to go against your mother for a serious issue, like hurting someone. If she hurt someone and you did not stand by her, that would be considered betrayal. Disobeying is just doing your thing. Not listening.

I think disobedience is a betrayal of trust. The mere fact that you were told to do something, and still you did it, then there is the element of betrayal. Being obedient means having respect, and when it is the other way around, you're being disrespectful.

They are kinda connected you know! If disobedient isn't confused by 'refusal' then it is a betrayal of the trust someone has on you. For example refusing to do a bad thing doesn't make one a disobedient person. Refusal to do the right thing is a disobeying attitude and thus a great betrayal!
