I always have one online game open - mostly a card game - while I patiently wait for pages to open. At the moment I am playing Canasta. I have a partner - Gandalf - I can change that name to a real name but I have not. This partner is perfect in every way. Never criticises me when I am playing
and if we make a mistake then there is background guidance. It is a lady's voice. I love this game. No cheating, no critcising. The only minus point is that my partner does not talk to me!
The computer also becomes your opponent in several other games. Chess is one such example. I stand no choice. With just about 3 moves I lose. What is your experience playing with the pc as your partner or opponent?

Hi,
Right now, my PC games involved only offline single players. I have not tried online games yet, the hardware as well as the bandwidth cannot cope with the high demand. Maybe in the future if I can manage to assemble that AMD Athlon X3, then I would go online.

What I meant was when I am online, I play games on the computer waiting for pages to open. And those games are not online games. Once you have downloaded the software you can play those offline. I also play online games though very rarely. There is that virtual online casino which is fun to play.

I enjoy playing online games. In fact i spend most of my time playing games ,if i am at home. My favorite sites are miniclip and brain box. I like to spend my time on these sites.

I play canasta and a load of solitaire games. I also play chess Of the Solitaire games I like spider - a bit difficult but enjoyable. All these games can be played off line. I also have a virtual casino and I gamble there only virtual!

I have played a few online games over the years but I tend to get addicted, and then I don't get anything else done because I want to keep playing. I have even stayed up all night playing them before too, and I just can't be doing that, so in order to keep my addiction in check I just don't play any online games, for fear that I will not get anything done of I do.

I used to spend a lot of time when I was new to the computer and those days online activity had not started. Nowadays I open up a game and it is there just to cover up 'waiting' time!

I think a lot of people like playing games on the internet, because it passes time and can be quite addictive. I like playing chess and poker with the computer as it helps me to improve my technique meaning that I will be able to play "real" oppositions in the future and will hopefully be able to win. However, you have to be careful that you don't let the games take over your life. At times, I will start playing a game and then will realise that I have actually been playing it for several hours without realising that so much time had passed.

I have gone past that stage of getting addicted although you are right that when something is new that could be possible. I like online games as there is very little tension there and if you feel you are losing you can cancel the game. No one looks at you doing that!

I should have said I play on the computer as I mostly download the games and then play both online and offline too.

Hi friend, good to know you are interested in playing online games and card games, previously i too addicted with card games and spend most of my time with it, but now a days i don't have enough time to play it, most of the times i play against the system and some times i win over it, in my opinion we can play with system, which is better than human, it don't know to cheat or fight

I am not addicted but keep a game open waiting for pages to open. It is a nice way to spend time while one is waiting. You are right. There is absolutely no tension while playing against or with computer as the partner. Its fun.
