What made you think you are lucky?

I came from a poor family. In college I need to work to augment the allowance I received from my Parents. I noticed that It is always hard for them to find ways if I need something. During my birthdays I don't have anything on the table. But I always tell myself that I am lucky because I have another year to live again. There are times that I am distressed and down. I almost wanna give up but I would always think that I am still lucky because there are more less fortunate than I am. When I got married we have nothing. We both don't have jobs but a year or two we acquired a new house and lot. I told myself I am lucky.Yesterday I was asking for a little help from my brother but he was not answering. i almost cried but just this afternoon I got two clients. I closed a deal that gave me a huge commission, I thank God that I am lucky.I don't know what did I do to be this lucky, or it is only true that during negative times of your life just be positive and everything will turn out right. How about you what made you lucky?

Well you certainly have a good attitude. I often feel very lucky. My husband and I have been lending out a lot of money to people lately and it is really stressing me out because now we are getting low, but I still have to feel lucky because we had money to give, and we helped to keep 2 different families from losing their homes.

It is nice to see that you realize what you have in life and you are so positive about life. Not everyone can do what you can do. it takes to be very strong to be positive no matter how bad the situation is at that moment. we must realize that we are lucky and then the luck will flow. I appreciate your courage to be positive and smile at the moment of sadness too. from your previous discussions, i know that you do have some problems in your family riya, but still you manage to put a brave face. its just looking at a half empty cup and saying its half full. We decide if we should be happy or not.

Hi jazzy! You are blessed. Everything that you received are blessings from God and we should really be thankful. But having those blessings doesn't make us more blessed than others. We are all equal in the eyes of the Lord.
I can say that all through the years of my life, I already receive a lot of blessings, too many to mention. But above all this, I am blessed with a family that serves as my friend and my inspiration. That alone is so much to be thankful already. Not to mention the job, the kind people I deal with everyday, and this chance! This chance to be responding to your discussion is a great blessing!

I appreciate your benevolent mind. it was nice of you to thank god for all the good thing that you go tin life. these days we meet people who are more worried about what they dont have in life instead of what they have in life. In turn they lose all happiness and infact run to get happiness.

What made me lucky i that I was given the opportunity to study in a prestigious university, to be blessed having a decent shelter, food and clothing. I really think that's what makes me lucky as a person. :)

A good education directs you in your life it decides where you have to be placed. You would have enough choices to chose from and that in turn puts you in a very good position. I hope you be blessed with more happiness in the future.

Well, the mere fact that we all have ways and means to be able to mylot makes us luckier than half the people on the planet. Well, I amy be exaggerating but you get the picture. I guess I am lucky because I have my husband, my parents are still alive, all of us are still together and we all have some jobs or means to buy our basic necessities.

I cannot agree with you more Raine. You have indeed put in the most punch statement this discussion can receive this. If i can access internet, that means my basic need like food and shelter has been met. there are millions of people who die without food and water.Obvioulsy there are people who are more luckier than us. But that shouldnt stop us form enjoying our life to the fullest.

You are right my friend, we are lucky enough we are still alive and enjoying the blessings that God has given to us. I considered myself as a lucky one from the time I wake up in the morning, many were not be awaken already. When I'll prepare my food, there are stocks so I considered it as a blessing because I have something to eat, many were not able to eat because they don't enough money to buy those foods. I am lucky because I have a job.In my country right now, two million people are jobless.I am lucky because I have a wonderful family,having a loving parents and brothers.

Yes there are many people out in the streets who beg for food or any amount passersby can give and we are lucky enough that we don't experience what they are experiencing. That is also the learning that I always tell my son. At his young age I try my best to make him understand that he is lucky enough. That whatever is in our table just be thankful,it is a blessing.

I would call myself lucky to have this opportunity to respond to this wonderful discussion. this is one of those feel good topics that makes you realise how nice it is to be in mylot. I come from a middle class family and I am quite happy with how the life is treating you. i thank God for this and hope i would be able to live peacefully as I live now.

I think luck is something you can achieve when you are working hard. The harder you work the more luck you get. That's how it works. People say that there are people who were lucky and now they are rich. I don't believe it's the luck alone that made them multimillionaires. It's the effort, their desire to become rich is the one that placed them or set them to where they are right now.
