Today my husband and I wanted to watch one of the Danish channels that we had in the past, but there was no signal. First we thought that there was something wrong with our tv and I mentioned it when I talked to a friend.
He said: "No, it is not your tv, but they have made some changes and now you have to pay extra money for that channel and if you don't pay there is no signal" I never knew that. We don't watch much tv and I don't really follow the news about the channels and that kind of things. We only have a few channels, but we are thinking about getting some extra channels. Instead of buying all of channels we can choose 8 channels that we are interested in.
Do you watch tv or do you prefer to spend the time on other things? Do you have many channels from your own country on from other countries? What do you prefer to watch (movies, documentaries, news, reality shows, sport etc)?

While staying in Chennai we get all channels for roughly $10. Over here in Canada we have to pay more for watching indian channels.
Nowadays i watch indian channels through internet.

$10 that is cheap compared to my country. Many families in Denmark pay around $50 per month, but it also depends where you live. At the moment we don't pay much, but we only have a few Danish channels and we don't have any international channels at all. I would like to be able to watch Discovery, the Travel channels and some of the other international channels. It is great that you have the chance to watch Indian channels on the internet. Today we have a lot of options that didn't exist before the internet.

yes. In India it is cheaper because of the huge population. With one server the company can give to thousands of home and are able to make profit. yes. after internet coming it is convenient for us to see our indian channels in canada on the next day. there are websites hosting those programs.

I stopped watching "stupid" programmes on TV 3 years ago. I watch documanteries and mostly Nat. Geographic, Discovery channel, History channel, Travel channel and what ever stimulates my mind and makes me learn.

I like Discovery channel and the Travel channel a lot, but I am not able to watch any of them in my home. My husband and I don't watch much tv, so we have chosen the cheapest option (only the Danish channels) Right now we don't have any extra money, but we might pay for some extra channels when we return from Asia. I think that there are many interesting documentaries on Discovery channel and I also find the Travel channel very interesting because I am crazy about travelling. I agree you, the best things to watch are the programmes where we are able to learn something new.
