I have heard that they are alergic to peppermint oil. Im not sure if that means that they are alergic to peppermint tea or the plant itself. I guess it depends on what you have available where you live. If you make it uncomfortable for them to live there they will probably move away.

You're right. I just read that cotton balls soaked in peppermint extract and placed in cabinets and where you keep your food will make them stay away. They are repelled by the scent of peppermint. The article I read also said to plant mint around the foundation of your house. That's good information. I didn't know about the peppermint. I have cats so I don't think I would get a rat problem. It would have to be a brave rat - I have 3 cats.

Rats are every where. In my house, there may be some. I have seen two big rats in the back yard. It's hard to get rid of them. I put a trap cage outside the house but they seem to know it.

If you find a hole plug it up with steel wool. Rats can't chew through this, it cuts their gums. Seal around it with foam sealer. They won't be able to get back in through the hole. You may have to buy rat poison, as long as you don't have any pets. Or, you could get a cat or a dog to get rid of the rats. Make sure you don't have any open food containers. Rats can chew through almost anything. Good luck!

there are several steps to get rid of the rats in your house. first, clear the mess that darken and moisten some areas in your house. rats like these kinds of spaces. then, close the holes where rats can sneak into your house. cover them or put mousetraps. then, have a cat that can chase the rats. i wish you the best to get rid of the rats in your house.

hai cuty girl , i am sathia from malaysia and i got same problem past years than i ask my friends he say find out where they come from coz they make hole coner of house and close that hole .. and use cage .classic
