Seminar on Mahatma Gandhi

India
October 2, 2012 12:48am CST
Today I attended a seminar on the occasion Jayanthi of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He was shot dead on October 2nd. He died a sad man. India lay divided. Hindu-Muslim riots were rampant all over the country. His brahmacharya (celibacy) experiments had no takers. He had earned the wholesale hostility of his entire tribe of associates. The man must have born ahead of his time. He lived by the cardinal principle of the great Buddha,’ the truth of suffering and the truth of deliverance from suffering.' Gandhi had no doubt suffered in the cause in the cause off truth but he had also almost arrived at the truth ' deliverance from suffering'. Many talked about the negative side of his life; well each of us has positive as well as negative aspects; we should try to absorb, the good aspects of others ignoring the negative. Sun shines on clean water, ponds, slums full of germs, oceans; but it takes the ‘pure water’ only; we too must do this. WISHING ALL MEMBERS A HAPPY GANDHI JAYANTHI Your say on this? Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead. October 2, 2012

Hi Professor, Gandhi was in my opinion, one of the greatest men who have ever lived. While he was the father of India, he was also an example to the whole world. We are all better men and women today because of this man. Blessings.
