I'm so mad, I haven't had this phone very long from AT&T, not even a year and it's already not working. We have had so many problems with their phones it's unbelievable. It just stopped charging and now is dead. No way the battery can need to be replaced already I wouldn't think. I hate not having a phone! To make it worse it was an expensive phone, a Motorola Atrix. Thanks AT&T!

Have you taken this into and AT&T store and made a fuss? Sometimes if you are in front of other coustomers they may want to do what they can to calm you down. The squeeky wheel gets the grease.

No not yet...am hoping my husband will. I will lose my patience real quick with them especially having to haul my baby with. He seems to get further with them in the past then I do!

If you have had the phone less than a year, than it still must be under warranty. You should take it back to the nearest AT&T store. Or log into your account at http://www.att.com/wireless. I have AT&T too, not highly rated by Consumer Reports, but that's a moot point. I have taken a phone back when it turned out to be a piece of crap. They will replace or fix it if it is under warranty. You shouldn't have to be buying a new battery.

Yeah, that sucks. I had a phone and the screen went out on it. I took it down to AT&T and yep, out of warranty and nothing they could do, BUT... I could get another phone except they were going to charge me extra because my current contract was not up. (I ended up re-activating an old phone I still had.) Then the next phone I got was the one that I had to take back. AND it's still a piece of crap. So why am I still with AT&T? *shrugs* We'll see at the end of this contract.

I tell you we are still with At&T not really by choice but we keep getting stuck in their contracts. If we renew our contract each time we need a new phone we get the phone for very cheap or practically free. So I have a new phone coming today.... but how long will this one last. It's a vicious cycle and we can't seem to get out of it!

It was just over a year....so not under warranty. I tried my husbands battery and that didn't help so its the phone. So my husband called andhe got, me a Samsung for, $30. Not bad but we had to pay $40 for upgrade fee. Upgrade??? Crazy since the only reason I am getting a new phone is because their phones don't last too much longer then a year. Its extremely maddening.

A Motorola Atrix? Wow, that's really expensive and it's no longer working. When I saw its specs months ago, I wished to have that phone. I thought when a phone is branded, it won't malfunction that fast. Does it have any warranty? Maybe you can return it so that they will fix it. I hope it will still work. Happy mylotting.

Oh... Some of our old phones are Motorolas and they're still working until now. I am a fan of Motorola but after reading your post and comment, I guess I have to check other brands. LOL. Atrix was my dream phone. It's sad it won't last that long. I guess the quality isn't that good now. I hope you'll have a new phone soon. :)

Warranty was only for a year and I'm a bit over that... so I'm screwed. I learned my lesson and we will never spend money on a fancy phone again. They were supposed to be great phones... but obviously not so much. My husband's messed up tons of times too on him and he has something different now. All Motorola's we've had from them have been a mess.

Maybe you need to call AT@T services to ask for any assistance that they can offer. If you applied an insurance then maybe you can ask for replacement or any offer that might help you with regards to your problem.

@ kemak, I hope that battery is still included with the warranty since it's still less than a year and usually mobile phone accessories warranty last for a year. Battery failure falls under manufacturers defect, so I guess you can ask the store where you purchased the phone to have it replaced.

jaiho you are correct. if it is less than one year then our friend is right in asking for replacement. In usa cell phones are costly, cell phonecharges are high. I think asian countries are far better. In India it is good. they charge very less per minute calls. what about philipines?

I ordered a new battery for the phone because it was having difficulty charging. I'm hoping that is the issue. If not then we will be calling AT&T. Plus I can't call them...I don't have a phone working

Kemak, Sad to hear that. Did you contact AT&T and discuss your problem with them? or maybe you are tired of calling them and making complains as you experienced a lot of problem with their units. So, are you thinking of getting a new service provider now? I hope this will fix soon and that you not be stress out about not having a phone.

Well I couldn't call since I'm out of a phone but my husband called them yesterday and was on there for over an hour. We have told them what you just said many times and spoken to many managers. They can see in our account how many phones we have gone through with them in the last 3 years it's ridiculous I've lost track. The best he could do was get me a new Samsung phone for $30. But we have to pay the upgrade charge of $45. That is my issue. An upgrade charge? I don't see how this is me upgrading my phone. I'm thinking of writing them letters and to keep sending them how disappointed I am with their services. Not sure it would do any good but it would make me feel better.

kemak you are from usa. my children also telling me that AT&T is charging too much for the services. phones are costly. no after sales service. Please go and complain in person and also send email and send only hard copy letter also. I think in your case battery may have to be changed. it is costly. in usa cell phone service charges are very high. how can a person pay $100 per month for cell phone only. very bad.

It is costly. My husband and I pay $130 a month for our two phones together. That covers our calls, internet and text messages. Not sure we can find much cheaper. My biggest complaint is their customer service. We continue to have issues with our phones. They send us replacements but they are refurbished phones and not brand new so we continue to have issues. Mine was brand new though I think.

@ ravi, Actually sir, $100 per month is cheaper compared here in our country. Here in our country, $100 per month is not the best brand of phone which includes with the services (Call, text and internet usage) Unlike in the US, there are other services/packages that are less than $100 per month for iphone 4S. I have worked with Sprint (Nextel) company for 2 years and I've compared the services offered here in our country (network companies) and US companies (network, mobile phones) are much cheaper.

Throw in well then take with bucket then start ready to working ehehe..just joking. I know how feel when cell phone not working feel empty heart no phone calls from family side, we cant call to anybody not feeling well. But you should contact the customer care center because at least one year warranty for every cell phone. I repaired my old phone because I know new means spend more money.

Hi! Don't be mad. Don't worry too much! :) I guess you should report it to the Motorola office directly or in the place where you bought that phone so that you'll resolve your problem. :)

Contact their customer service and they may check any problems regarding your phone. Bring it to them soon don't wait for too long they may charge you bigger amount if you wait for that.

Definitely call and ask for a replacement phone or go to an actual store where you can make some noise and get them motivated to help you. I think the cell phone business is a big scam though because it seem like after a little while, something happen to the cell phone where you need to get a new one. I don't think they make them to last very long.

You must be having a warranty or something.Just go and check it first. that is your right. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead
