I have knitted my first handmade doll last weekend. It's a simple knitted doll. There are patterns for 6 sizes, and I have made the smallest one which is the 5 inch doll. I have a 3 month old baby and a 3 year old son, I am making this smallest one for my baby girl, and going to make a 8" doll for my boy. After this, I'll also make a 10" for mother and 12" for father, so my son can have a whole family to play with. It's very simple to knit the doll, just use simple knitting methods. I have made it within a few hours. If you are interested in making the doll, just visit this site: http://weefolkart.com/content/basic-knit-doll-6-sizes

you must be quite proud of it since the materials and cost of stitching them is not easy and comfortable and it takes some time ideally for sure.

yeah, actually I am very happy that I am able to make one of these dolls. The materials are not expensive, but just my eyes are a bit tired when I did that, because I was doing it in the dark room where my kids are sleeping.

thanks! I wanted to learn how to crochet and I've learned to make the simple flower and dragonfly. But I find crochet is more difficult than knitting, hence I still prefer to knit. An owl is nice, my son will like an owl too. I always want to make him an owl.

Hello my friend kaka135 Ji, Well, first of all I wish to appriciate your knitting efforts. I being in this hobby, since my age was 8-9 yrs then, now also I am knitting for my Grand childrenhand-knitting has different touch/relations than machine knitted. But unfortunately, my both DILS are Nil, elder on eis trying to pick up. She starts all right, but can not end due to necka nd shoulder knitting. My lone daugther knows little. Keep it up and knit for your grand children as well. May God bless You and have a great time

That is so very cute, I wish that I could make something like that, but I don't know how to knit, so it definitely wouldn't be a craft that I would try to make on my own. That said, I do really like to make crafts, both as something that is relaxing to me and also because of the fact that I like to give things that I've made by hand as gifts. When I was younger, my mother and I used to make these cute little rag dolls that we both sold at craft shows and also gave to my cousins as Christmas gifts.

Hello kaka. Your knitted doll is really cute. I am more of a crocheter than a knitter. I did do some knitting many yeas ago I made some sweaters for my boys back then. Made him a sweeter and matching cap. He was about two and he loved the cap He wore it all the time even in the hot summer. You would see him out playing and the sweat would be running down the side of his face. I once crocheted A Miss piggy and a leprechaun doll and sold both of them at work I do still have pictures of them somewhere. I'm not much on doing a project more than once. I have made all my grandkids slipper though for Christmas

Aww this is such a sweet little doll. I looked at the picture so I could see it larger then the thumbnail. You did a really nice job. I dont know how to knit. I think you making a whole family of them is cute. You could make these as baby shower presents as well if you needed a gift for a soon to be mom.

That's simple enough that I may be able to do it, thank you! I have a lot of used dryer sheets (nice and soft and they smell good) that I can use for stuffing!

This sounds really nice and easy. My daughter still knits and I might show it to her. She could make one for a friend of hers who just had a baby afew months back. No one really small to play with dolls. So many other things we need to spend our money on now days. Thank you for the look see though.

The knitted doll is great.I use to knit when I was younger and made the care bears if you know who they are, lol. Also made an entire family of scare crows which was also great, the only problem was I had people wanting me to make them some as well and in the end with wotk, as well as children I had to stop knitting.

That is cute and good job! I can crochet simple stitches, but I've never tried knitting. It looks a lot harder! You should make some for gifts for the Christmas season too!
