Giving Money to Beggars

In the streets here in our country, if you are driving, lots of beggars are roaming. During traffic jams, they even knock on your car windows and ask for money. It is good to be compassionate and generous, however, some syndicates just use those poor individuals for their own benefits. That is why sometimes I hesitate to give them money, if i have bread or any food in the car, that is what I give them. How about you? Do you give money to beggars?

I always do. No matter what people say, I will never waste my chance in helping them. They say they are being used by syndicates, and so if they did not earn a single penny in a day, they will be beaten and will not be given food. I really do not want to carry any burden in my conscience as I know for sure that not all beggars are being handled by syndicates. There really are people who are beggars who have no food and home. I can't really blame them if they wander in the streets and won't really think if what they are doing is right or wrong as they don't have proper education. It is us who know better and should understand more.

I will give couple of dollar if i have some changes in my pocket, if not i try to give them few hamburgers i bought from the restaurant. They never pressure me to give or knock on my car, most of the time, they just stand by junction of the cross street or in front of traffic light with a sign asking for help, it is quite pitiful to see someone in such a desperate situation, the only thing come to my mind is life must be very tough for him that he has to beg for food. .

Afew years ago our government here in my town asked us not to give money to the homeless. They have many programs set up to help them and if we give them money and they don't utilize these programs then they will go by the wayside. I don't like to anyway.

In my country you see such children once in a while. But if they beg, there is always a grown up ready to take away whatever money you give to them. When children beggars come to my door, I bring them into my garden inside the fence, prepare a sandwich and tell them not to leave until they finish eating. I don`t ever give money to beggars in the streets.

In buendia in Makati there are these kinds of people. I gave one time to an old woman I mean I felt sorry for her so I gave 50 bucks and she was very thankful about it she said thank you twice and another "God Bless you", whenever I give I feel like I grow a little maturer and I really felt good when I gave that to her. I also feel blessed that I am not in her situation so there's no reason for me not to be generous at all.

It depends, and you are right too, all we wanted to do is to extend our help but hesitant to do that because of some negative issues that is happening around. They cannot blame us though we really want to help.

hi, i always encountered them in the streets even in the public vehicle they ride and give some envelop to put the money their, but when i encounter them i don't give money even coins to them because sometimes they use the money to buy rugby so its better to give them food such as bread.
